20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
4 Yet because of false brothers secretly brought in—who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into slavery— 5 to them we did not yield in submission even for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you. 6 And from those who seemed to be influential (what they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality)—those, I say, who seemed influential added nothing to me.
Who has Bewitched you?
Who has Bewitched you?
THE NEW LIVING TRANSLATION says “who has cast a spell on you”
1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified. 2 Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?
Why would Paul word it that way?
Was he just using rhetoric to emphasis a point?
Or could it be that Paul used this particular use of words, who has bewitched you, who has cast a spell on you, to make you and I aware that there is Satanic influence with false teachers. That false teaching is Satanically empowered that control the minds of people
You see the devil has always understood that He cannot defeat the church outright, or head on. He knows that when the born again people of God are in unity, are under the authority of jesus that there is nothing that the devil can do to drag them down.
Listen to the authority that god has placed on His church
So what does the devil do to defeat the church. He knows He is absolutely powerless when it comes to born again humanity, that understand who they are in Christ, the awesome power and authority they have in Christ, People that can see with the eyes of the holy Spirit when the demonic is involved in others lives. He not only understands that He is powerless against that kind of church, more than that He fears that type of Church. he fears the Christian that can take their authority in Jesus and put him to an open shame whenever He rears his ugly head. The devil doesn't like being humiliated in front of his followers. So He does everything to stop it that He can. So he had to rethink His strategy, what did He come up with? He said if I can’t get to them from the inside maybe I can sneak in through the front door in disguise.
Jesus said beware of false Prophets wh
4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.
3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? 4 Did you suffer so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? 5 Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith—
4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.
