Identity Theft Wk. 2
Welcome to FFM where we believe in equipping God’s people in the spirit of love by any means necessary!
Wisdom Vaccination: (This is to keep you from catching the fool.)
John 17:9 NIV
I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.
Them, are the one’s who accepted what Jesus has said.
Intro:
Review
God created mankind in his image and likeness, and he created them male and female to compliment each other and to marry and reproduce more godly offspring.
The thief has come only to steal, kill and destroy mankind and one of the number one ways he does this is through spiritual identity theft.
The serpent stole Adam and Eve’s identity in the Garden of Eden.
Genesis 3:1 NIV
Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
The serpent from Genesis is still using his same formula to steal identity from mankind today.
He gets us confused about who we really are by manipulating situations in our life through people.
When we don’t see who God truly is in spite of what we go through, Satan uses this confusion to rob us every time.
Remember Whose You Are
God reminds us in the scriptures whose we are.
Psalm 100:3 NIV
Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Isaiah 43:1 NIV
But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
Romans 8:15 NIV
The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”
1 John 3:1-2 NIV
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
When we don’t know whose we are, we give our allegiance to anyone or anything we feel like.
If pain and confusion causes us to feel like we no better than our creator what right and wrong is, we’ll give in to it.
If pain and confusion causes us to feel not like a man or not like a woman, we’ll give in to it.
If pain and confusion causes us to feel like being attracted to the same sex, we’ll give in to it.
If pain and confusion causes us to feel like taking advantage of children, we’ll give in to it.
Especially when society is talking about these things and putting them out in print or visual media.
People today will even try to tell you that Jesus never spoke about these things in the New Testament.
Jesus made it clear that he was in line with God In Matthew 5 and in Matthew 19.
Matthew 19:4-6 NIV
“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
:9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
And in John 1 the scriptures tell us that Jesus is the word and he was in the beginning with God and he is one with God.
So, you can’t take Jesus from the Old Testament just because he wasn’t manifested in the flesh yet.
If no one has ever shown you in scripture that God (The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit) are not in anyway in agreement with the LGBTQ agenda, just look at Genesis 19.
Genesis 19:4-11 NIV
Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”
6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him 7 and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. 8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.”
9 “Get out of our way,” they replied. “This fellow came here as a foreigner, and now he wants to play the judge! We’ll treat you worse than them.” They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door.
10 But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door. 11 Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.
Steps to reclaiming your identity.
1. In prayer ask Holy Spirit to reveal any lies you believe about yourself or about God.
2. As he shows you, reject the lies and ask him for the truth about you or about God. (As often as needed.)
3. When he shows you people that were involved in your negative process, forgive them and pray for them to get free, healed and to reclaim their identity.
4. Ask God as often as you need to, to restore your true identity in him.
5. Keep feeding yourself with who God is and who you are through the word of God.
What is Holy Spirit saying to you through this message?
