Theme: God wanted the Israelites to leave Egypt, and they had to clean all the leaven, which meant to break from the past. They had to leave the idols and their love for Egypt in the past. The leaven represents the inclination for evil in all of our hearts. The solution to sin is grace which also works from the inside > out. Christ takes into death all the consequences of our leaven and allows us to stay holy in His presence.
