Matthew 21:1–11 CSB
When they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage at the Mount of Olives, Jesus then sent two disciples, telling them, “Go into the village ahead of you. At once you will find a donkey tied there with her colt. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them at once.” This took place so that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled: Tell Daughter Zion, “See, your King is coming to you, gentle, and mounted on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” The disciples went and did just as Jesus directed them. They brought the donkey and the colt; then they laid their clothes on them, and he sat on them. A very large crowd spread their clothes on the road; others were cutting branches from the trees and spreading them on the road. Then the crowds who went ahead of him and those who followed shouted: Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven! When he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was in an uproar, saying, “Who is this?” The crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Ride of Hope

This is the day of palm Sunday the day that Christ enter the town of jerusalem for the last time. this is important for us to remember because this was the last ride that would change the world.
This is the moment that should inspire us to work as hard as we could live that Godly path . For us to understand this we need to look at this whole passage.
The first thing that we are going to look at is the prophecy is fulfilled .

Prophecy Is Fulfilled

We see here that the prophecy of our savior is fulfilled by our savior riding in to town on a colt.
This is important for us to understand our savior the king over everything . the one that is seat right next to the right hand of God , in order for our sins to be forgiven the first thing that he had to do was step down to a lowly servant. we see this by the washing of the disciple feet. After much service we see this finally moment of coming in to the town where everyone in celebrating that the prophecy has been fulfilled by him riding in to town.
Now at this point Christ knew what Judas was about to do and what was about to happen. He could of ran or chose not to come in to the town . Understand this the same people right now that are praising him and cheering for him are the people that are going to shout crucify at him next Friday.

Christ Chose Us

I want y'all to understand this that Christ chose you. knowing what is happening and still to be willing to go show the type of service that he was ready to give so that we may be able to live.
Think about it if you were invited to an event it could be a school dance or a party or a award ceremony. imagine when you walk in everyone gets hyped they start chanting your name cheering they start making you feel real good.
You would feel pretty great at least for a moment. now imagine that say event hours later they all turn against you. they kill your name in social status i mean they just destroy you to the point you feel dead or better off dead.
Now imagine that you know it was going to happen the entire time before going.
Would you go? Even if everyone else life depended on it.
This is what i would have imagine what Christ would have felt like but he still chose to go through with it. He chose you by name and knew the pain that he would be suffer and know that it would not be an easy process but he still chose you.
When we put this in to perceptive this becomes more than just a worship moment in the bible. When we look at this it becomes something that deserves us to remember. This becomes a ride of hope.

Ride Of Hope

This becomes the hope that is given to us. this becomes the hey when you feel like you are not worth it that you are more than worth it . you were chosen by a king to be killed for so you may have the chance to earn the kingdom of heaven.

Have You Earned It?
