1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

God is our refuge

With him there is protection, safety, security

Enemy may look imposing, formidable, powerful

You may be surrounded on every side, but with God you are protected, safe, and secure

Weapons may be formed but they won’t prosper

The name of theLord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are saved

But when you forget that God is your refuge, you leave the refuge

If you think an area is not safe then you leave that area

Have you left the protection of God because it didn’t look safe?

Like someone trying to rob you, and points a gun at you, yet you are behind bullet proof glass – doesn’t look safe, but you are safe

You are tempted to come out with your hands up

And strength

With God there is the ability to fight

You will be able to fight the goliaths of the world

A very present help in trouble
