Intro/Welcome

If someone were building something magnificent would you want to be a part of it?

If kanye west was coming to orlando, would you go? / going to a concert

would you invest?

would you pay?

build up / parents / grandparents / mayor, governer, president, celebrity

There is a blessing of investing in that

just being presence

experiencing the concert

What if God came?

Proposition:

The blessing of investing in the Kingdom of God

We hope to receive a blessing from what we invest in

Call to Give (Exod 25:1-2)

From the heart (Exod 25:2b)

Treasure:

gold, silver, bronze, purple yarn…etc. (Exod 25:3-7)

These were expensive, only the finest for God’s tabernacle

Talent:

Bezalel & Oholiab

Exod 31:3-5, Exod 31:6-11

Time:

To make money, to serve in skill

To work & rest! (Exod 31:11, 31:12-17)

Why Give?

To build the system of worship (Exod 25:8)

So that I may dwell among them (Exod 25:8, 25:22, 29:45-46)

why?

So that they would be my:

Own people, kingdom of priest, holy nation

why?

So the nations will see (Deut 4:6-8, Psalm 67:1-5)

Application (So What & So That)

So what?

It is what we were made for:

to be in relationship with god, to worship him. - to DWELL with God.

The System of Worship allows for that. It answers the question how can a disobedient people dwell with so good a God?

Because this is what we were made for it will bring the strongest sense of purpose & fulfillment — joy, peace, love (fruit of spirit)

It is an act of recreation — heaven on earth

God’s kingdom purpose

God is on the Throne

Christ was the tabernacle of God (John 1:4)

God dwelling with his people

Symbolism of all that was in the tabernacle/temple

You are now the tabernacle of God

Give yourself to God becuase he has given himself for you.

God will dwell with his people in the end Rev 21:3

This is where all of history is going.

So that?

We will invest our lives in the Kingdom

The ways God has blessed us financially

The ways God has blessed us skillfully

The ways God has blessed us vocationally

God has invested in us, will we invest in His Kingdom.

Giving beautiful things so God can dwell amongst us.
