Palm Sunday is a fork in the road. Change is hard, but Jesus walks the hard road for us and offers us love.
Jesus presents two options allegiance to a gracious king or facing the consequences of our decisions on our own.

2. Jesus doesn’t ask something of us, without going first.
What’s being offered
A God who chooses rescue
No one was twisting his arm, he alone is orchestrating rescue
A king who cries
God is not indifferent
A God king who comes in peace
He’s not on a war horse
A king who is offering us a way out
Are you frustrated with the world’s solutions?
There is truth, please don’t misunderstand me, but this king doesn’t win people into the kingdom by arguing. He cries and he dies.
3. We don’t have to change if we don’t want to.
They wanted Rome, they got Rome.
Be careful what you wish for.
