Affirmations week 4

Affirmations are statements (powerful words put together) that are meant to affect your behavior and the course of your life in a positive way.
I am doing a great work
I am doing God’s work
I will not stop
I will not stop because insecurities
I will not stop because of fear and doubt
I will not stop because of unhealthy relationships
I will fulfill my purpose
God is my confidence
I am significant to God
My security is in God
God will strengthen my hand
As we close this series, the question that I want to ask is.....
Are you doing God’s work?
If you’re not doing God’s work then you are doing your own work.
You are being driven by your desires…
Led by your own understandings
but it’s never to late to make a U-turn
God wants to position us as representatives in His kingdom on earth
Do you know that you are placed in a space to bring change?
Nehemiah was the kings cup bearer - He was apart of the government
A position that kept him close to the King…
God will put you in the right place at the right time
Nehemiah 1:1–2 ESV
The words of Nehemiah the son of Hacaliah. Now it happened in the month of Chislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Susa the citadel, that Hanani, one of my brothers, came with certain men from Judah. And I asked them concerning the Jews who escaped, who had survived the exile, and concerning Jerusalem.
God’s work will produce a passion to ask questions!
God’s work will create opportunities to share your passions in front of the right people
Nehemiah 2:2–5 ESV
And the king said to me, “Why is your face sad, seeing you are not sick? This is nothing but sadness of the heart.” Then I was very much afraid. I said to the king, “Let the king live forever! Why should not my face be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers’ graves, lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire?” Then the king said to me, “What are you requesting?” So I prayed to the God of heaven. And I said to the king, “If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers’ graves, that I may rebuild it.”
Not only will you share…
But you will find favor…
God’s work brings transformation - “That I may rebuild it”
Affirm IT - I will not stop
God will strengthen my hand
Nehemiah 6:15–16 ESV
So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty-two days. And when all our enemies heard of it, all the nations around us were afraid and fell greatly in their own esteem, for they perceived that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.
Just so you know....
And let all all the nations know…
God is the only reason why the wall was completed
I can’t take the credit…
He is my health and strength
He is the source of my power
He is my help
If it had not been for the Lord…
Affirm It.....
It shall be completed
