John 8:31-36

1 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”33 They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?”34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
By-Products of Sin-
Worry, Anxiety, frustration, doubt, distrust, sickness, disease, murderings, unfaithfulness, covetousness, lustfulness, dishonoring parents and those in authority, lying, deceit, rebelliousness, inconstancy, unwillingness to forgive, promiscuity, gossip, backbiting, and so for and so on. Oh I hear you, now you need me to remind you of what SIN Is.
SIN Is: Actions by which humans rebel against God, miss His purpose for their life, and surrender to the power of evil rather than to God.
Sin Human activity that is contrary to God’s will.
Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary says:
of human deviation from the expressed will and desire of God
But Jesus says, “The Truth Shall Make You Free!” And in case you have forgotten, Jesus is saying that by continuing in His Teachings, you will know Him. And HE will make you Free!
And If HE Makes you FREE, You will Be FREE INDEED!!!
To be free indeed, means that you will have the strength to overcome, the clutches of Sin.
To be free indeed, means that the burden of guilt will no longer have a lasting hold on your life.
To be free indeed, means that when the accuser, the Devil, makes continuous accusations against you, you have an advocate, someone to stand on your behalf.
To be free indeed, means you have the freedom to come before the presence of the Father and make known your request, boldly and He will not only hear your cry but He will answer your prayers.
To be free indeed, means that no matter how difficult the path, there is someone that will walk with you through every storm.
To be free indeed, means that “Yeah though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.”
To be free indeed, means “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear, The Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid.”
To be free indeed, means that “Even though this house of this tabernacle be dissolved, I’ve got another building of God not made by hands, eternal in the heavens.”
To be free indeed, means that I’ve got a Saviour, Redeemer, Friend that sticks closer than a brother.
To be free indeed, means that I have the liberty to Praise the Lord anywhere and at anytime.
And why you ask? Because I AM FREE!
So the question to you today is Are YOU REALLY FREE!!???
