I. INTRODUCTION:
Saints of God, today, we will be continuing with the Sermon Series - Reaching The World With The Word.
The vision for FGWWC Beaufort is, We are called to preach the Gospel to the lost through the ministry of evangelism and to make disciples of believers.
As we evangelize the City of Beaufort, we will encounter people that will need one or more of the following: Salvation, filled with the Holy Ghost, and Healing.
The Sermon Series involves messages that will cover these three, primary topics to build your knowledge and understanding of each.
As I have stated before, a training program is being developed for everyone to become certified as EST’s, Emergency Certified Technicians!
So, today, I will continue ministering on the Holy Spirit.
The title of the message is, “The Spirit of God and The Flesh of Man”.
II. BODY:
GOLDEN TEXT:
Romans 8:1-5

8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

DEFINITIONS:
Condemnation - The state of being condemned.
Condemned:
Declared to be reprehensible, wrong, or evil.
2. Pronounced guilty and sentenced to punishment.
3. Officially declared to be unfit for use.
Romans 8:1
We are free from condemnation, but not automatically.
Romans 8:2
To put this simple; the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is to follow after the Spirit as a new creature in Christ.
The law of sin and death is to follow after the flesh in a life of self-gratification and over- indulgence that leads to death.
Romans 8:3
The law itself is not the problem.
Look at Rom. 7:12, 14

12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Even Jesus himself did not come to condemn or do away with the law. He came to fulfill it!
Matthew 5:17 AV
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Romans 8:4-5
Look at Galatians 6:7-8, the principle of reaping and sowing.
Galatians 6:7–8 AV
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Romans 8:6-8
A carnal minded individual is in direct opposition to God.
They are not capable of having the God kind of faith and cannot please God.
Romans 8:9-10
We are all God’s creation, but all are not His children. You must have his Spirit; and that can only come through accepting the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
We must be unresponsive to sin. A body that is dead to sin cannot respond to sin.
This is the attitude we must have toward sin after we have His Spirit living inside of us.
Romans 8:11-12
The very Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells inside of you.
That’s a lot of power!
That power works in us, to where even the physical body can receive the strength it needs to do the work of the ministry!
Romans 8:13-14
There is no other option besides death if a person chooses to live a carnal life.
This is a spiritual death that could ultimately lead to a premature physical death.
As many that choose to be lead by the Spirit of God are the Sons of God.
His sheep hear his voice and the voice of a stranger they will not follow!
Romans 8:15-17
God has not given us the spirit of fear, but that of love, power and a sound mind.
Our spirit has received a confirmation from the Holy Spirit that we are indeed his children.
He is our very own Father and we are his very own children.

III. CONCLUSION:
The LORD puts before us life and death; choose life.
Walk after the Spirit so you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
It will only lead to death.
