What must be understood...
• We as a people do not save anyone, not even ourselves
Galatians 1:12 NASB95
For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB95
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Revelation 3:20 NASB95
'Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
• As Christians we are to proclaim the Gospel
Mark 6:12 NASB95
They went out and preached that men should repent.
Mark 16:15 NASB95
And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
• God has presented the gift of salvation to all to whom will accept it.
Romans 5:8 NASB95
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16 NASB95
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Hebrews 11:6 NASB95
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
So as it can be seen through the Bible, God does not pick and choose who will be saved and who will not, but instead offers it to all and those who accept Jesus Christ, are the chosen of God, the elect.
1 Corinthians 15:58 NASB95
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
