I. Why Jesus Came: Matt. 1:23 (1-17)
A. Jesus came to be with us. He didn’t come to this Earth to judge us, but to fulfill the law of God by being the sacrifice for sin.
B. Because of His messed up genealogy, we get a great picture of the sin problem with mankind. In spite of ourselves, and our sins Jesus uses us.
C. So Jesus came to fulfill the law that we failed to keep.
II. Why Jesus Died: Heb. 9:6-14, 24-28

A. The sacrifices were temporary and had to be done every year. These sacrifices couldn’t forgive sin permanently.
B. Jesus’ sacrifice could because it is perfect.
C. Because those who believe in Jesus, Jesus is coming back one day.

A. Jesus was resurrected in order to give us victory over the grave. If we live or we die, we win because of Jesus!
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
B. Jesus’ resurrection and ours are linked, because we are the bride of Christ.
knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you.
C. Jesus came so that we could be with Him forever.
“He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.
I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.
