Stone
Stone
Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.
But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments.
Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?
There is a burning desire inside of each of us to be alive!

Thrill seekers and adventure junkies will do almost anything to catch a high!
We now have a new name for it, Extreme Sports!
The problem is that the high only last a few seconds and then a more extreme thing needs to be accomplished
What is driving this madness and pursuit of a feeling of being alive?
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
In the beginning God created a container that would allow out spirits to experience this wonderful new creation called earth!
Man lived in perfect union with his Creator, but then suddenly that relationship was cut off.
Like a man struggling to breath, our spirts began to drift ever so much further away from our creator!
Since our bodies were designed to experience fulfilment, man substituted spiritual fulfilment with the temporal and passing physical sensations
Instead of looking up ward for fulfilment, Satan convinced him that if he looked inward, he would find the answers! What a foolish trap
We see this playing out daily now as man has experienced almost everything conceivable, no he is walking in the inconceivable! Men dressing as women, children indoctrinated with lies and deceptions,
Man has become a heroin addict cut off from his supply trying to escape the pains of withdrawal! He is continually seeking the living among the dead!
Look at the words of Jesus our Savior:
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
The word abundantly there is the Greek word meaning “to excess”, “exaggerated” “more than sufficient” “overflowing”
Interesting that the word only appears 6 times in the NT in relationship to the “superabundance of Salvation” and its resultant blessings!
It is set in direct opposition to the false prophet’s promise to deliver peach and fulfilment!
Paul wrote
For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
Referencing “the life of death” against “the new life” according to the “abundance of Grace”
May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, And fulfill all your purpose.
This the prayer of so many but yet we really don’t know what our heart’s desire is!
We quote Scriptures like:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Look at the focus of the asking…that the Father may be glorified not that we would be satisfied!
The key to real life and fulfilment can only be found in restoring the relationship and renewing your spirit-man
Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Sin is the methadone of man, it only takes the edge off the problem but does nothing to remedy it, in fact, it prolongs the process of freedom!
Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].
You will never find life among the dead!
For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
My friends, the enemies plan is to destroy you and kill you! That is why when people get to the end of their rope he offers them “the only way out”
Today, 1 person every 40 seconds worldwide will take their life. >80% of those to depression! So since we stated, 67 people left this world most likely into a Christless eternity!
Don’t tell me that we are doing everything in our power to get the message of hope out to a dying world!
In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope.
Do you see that? No Christ no Hope!
Hope is an expectation that motivates us. It represents either good or bad hence good = faith; bad = fear!
That is why the Psalmist said:
Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.
The help of my countenance = “the whole of the human experience” attitude
Let me ask you today…are you looking for the living in the land of the dead?
Maybe today there seems to be a huge, immovable boulder in the doorway to freedom!
I have good news for you my friend…that stone can be moved away today if you would only but surrender it to Him!
“Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.
Lets pray
