He says in verse 4 enter into his gates with Thanksgiving and into his courts with praise and we're going to do that in just a minute as we open our song books to page number 129. He says Be Thankful unto him and bless his name for the Lord is good his Mercy is Everlasting. And his truth endureth to all generations. All right. One thing I do want to mention now while I have the opportunity. This is your last week your opportunity. If you want to be the narrator for a choir program what you're doing next week come see me after the service and I will need to have you sit down on the rehearsal that we do after the service if you're interested in that. So if if you can read from a script then that's what we need. So again, just come talk to me after the service and I'm looking forward to what the Lord does next week so I can turn over the rest here to Pastor Ward.

Just a few announcements. You can see all these things in your bulletin. But in case you don't see them in your bulletin, you'll hear them for me. Now. The narrator was already mentioned very important, but it's it's only temporary. We're not going to try and make it something you do for the rest of your life. So please get involved. I think you'll find out the blessing is getting involved. So please do that. We want to mention those that might be going to Treasure Mountain Bible Camp. That's due the 11th of April. We have to get the deposit then that's $50. There's applications on the back table. Please fill those out and get those turned in as soon as possible. If not, it's more expensive to do it. Later. We don't know exactly what's going to go on a camp yet covid still has some affection what they can and can't do but they're moving forward right now. And so at this point, please fill those out I will get the deposits and if it were to fall apart the deposits will come back, so don't worry about that. But please get that taken care of by the 11th. I also wanted to remind everyone that this is the final Sunday of our mission emphasis month. It doesn't mean that mission should be emphasized throughout the year, but that we won't be preaching or talking about it as much as we are now you have been and if you don't have one there are mission enforces cards in the rear that need to be filled out and you don't put your name on them. We don't want to your name is what God has put on your heart to do and I heard there's no reason that everyone can't do something and teach your children and grandchildren by doing something missions is important where we can't go we have to send others to fulfill the Great Commission and so fill out those cards. They're only for us for planning. I know there's sometimes people won't fill out a card because well then I made a commitment. God knows your heart you've already committed or not in your heart and he knows what that is. Just put it to paper for our benefit so we can either know to increase our missionary giving or to add additional missionaries or whatever. And so please do that for the drop it in the offering and the offering box and it if it doesn't isn't this week next week, if you're still praying about it at any time, they will be accepted and I would appreciate that be preying on those things with the Lord would have you to do

And the last thing I want to mention you already see other things in Yorba Linda on her under coming events, but I have the youth rally the next Trend in Windsor Baptist Church James chapters 3 through 5, but it's not the 16th. It's the 30th that was changed just at the last minute and that'll be corrected in the next bulletin. And so those who are interested in going to the youth rally. It is not the 16th. It's the 30th and that's all I have and I'll turn the rest over to Take your handbook again, please and same page 477 all four verses to add Calvary that's page 477 you may remain seated.

Going. It was for me.

And Grace was Greg zuerlein bedroom salvation about Mighty God that God has multiplied now seeing 113, please The Old Rugged Cross. Let's sing the first and the last verses 113. I'll ask you to stand please those who may 113.

Suffering and I know I love my truck.

Nail call me someday to my home phone.

Tell him I draw me bad last night. Thank you. Please be seated. Now we want to go to the missionaries you want to talk about today? The missionaries that we would have today is a prayer a cyst is Brothers to yacht and brother Kahlua and they are both ministering in the Philistines in the Philippines. The Philistines are what we talked about this morning in the Philippines and they're not really very far from each other as far as their Ministries. Go Faith Baptist Church in Mexico Pampanga, not Mexico Mexico Mexico Pampanga Philippines, which is just North of the filth of Manila and then brother Kalua pig is in Penny quatar lacked in the Philippines, which is just North of whether brothers who yanked his ministering. So these two As a matter of fact, he's got the the map of so I'll give you an idea. So.

And brothers to doctors just north of Manila in between that and fernan and then brother killua gets just north of there. So they're both ministering in this northern part of the main body of of the Philippines and we pray that you will pray for these two different Ministries. They are doing a great job of building churches and brother Sue yokte at Faith Baptist Church has I'm sorry, we're going to say oh, okay. I think the password so I was just a peripheral vision thing playing sports Hall of Fame. So pray for brother suyaki and Faith Baptist Church in the Philippines and the different Ministries. They have going to have like a college there and other building different churches mafic. They have two other Ministries just north of where they are at now that they're building churches and Ministries. So pray for them for the Kahlua there a penny, Tarlac. They are also building a great ministry there at Victory Baptist Victory Independent Baptist Church, so I want you to think about our missionaries and what their needs are and each one has to deal with winning souls and building churches and raising people up so that the Philippines are one by Filipinos, and we can pray for them that the other Ministries are fruitful and successful and lead of the holy spirit of God, so please pray for these folks this week. Thank you.

Where am I?

Where are the green?

I shall rest at the

and I know when I walk the last mile before Christ, I proclaim the Gladstone if I seek for his I am sure.

When I put and I know where I live.

Are the DSM-5 ties we must have existed when I was the last mile of the way and if I have Earnest Lee driven and have tried all his will to will in a square mile.

and I know

If you've ever walked anything arduous, you can definitely relate with the truth of that song. Can't you if you ever been to that place where you just feel like you're putting one foot in front of the other sometimes how much longer is the journey how much further do we have to go? How many more pounds can this feel like that? I'm carrying these things can get heavy campaign, but I'm thankful that there's a promise in the word of God that one day all those miles behind us. Those miles will be in the books of heaven and it will be as he sang The Last Mile of the way. We're going to find our place in 2nd Corinthians chapter 9. But before you start moving around too much, I want to do just a couple of things here. We're going to be in 2nd Corinthians 9 so you can find your place and put a finger there, but I also want to just welcome everybody that's here this morning. I see some places that I don't recognize I know that we probably have some folks joining virtually you want to say hi to you. I'm so glad to see you this morning. I see some faces that maybe they're out of town this week as well or others that maybe aren't here today and I just want to say it's good to see you. It's good to see you here this morning. And then as you're finding your place in 2nd Corinthians 9, let's go ahead and just pause for a moment and ask the Lord's blessing on the preaching and teaching of his word here. Would you join me as we as we seek the Lord? Let's pray. Our gracious Heavenly Father. We're thankful for another day. You giving us such grace and mercy and goodness. We thank you Lord for this place that you've carved out in Northwest Denver here in Westminster Colorado that we can come and assemble together according to Thy Word. Lord as your people have gathered here today, I pray that they would be encouraged and uplifted by what they see in here. Our Savior came many years ago and entered Jerusalem on a colt and he did so triumphantly but in a way that we weren't expecting Israel was not expecting But you knew exactly what we needed and you know exactly what we need today and is we pause our hearts and Minds thankful for this place the house of the Lord that we can gather and worship the family the church family that we have with us friends visitors that are here guests that are Among Us Lord. We ask your blessing on the preaching and teaching of your word is our little ones dismiss momentarily as they go to Children's Service. I pray that you would give Clarity for your word. I asked Lord that you would just magnify Jesus Christ magnify his name magnify your word that's above all your name in our midst hide me behind the cross Lord and may Jesus Christ be seen in and through all your teachers today. And as your word is preached May identify those that here as we're reminded that we just need to continue on until we've gone the last mile of that Journey bless our time of your word and bless her. The ship here together in Jesus name we pray and all God's people said amen. All right, and then the other last thing I want to do just take a moment before we get into the word grab that device. You know which one I'm talking about. Don't pretend you don't grab that one. That's smartphone that tablet whatever you have swipe down get to your airplane mode. If you got to put it on airplane mode or just power the thing off if you're not going to use it during the service. You can read your Bible on there if you need to that's totally fine, but just go ahead and put that on silent for as many of you already have appreciate that the go ahead and do that as we now come to the time where we need to give our attention to this is the medium that God's chosen to reveal himself to us. So let's pay attention to this and and try to minimize humanely as possible as much distractions as we can. We appreciate you helping us with that short. Now if our little ones would like to dismiss my wife, she'll be in the back here. You can join her for children service and those that will remain in this Sanctuary with me take your Bible and look with me at 2nd Corinthians 9.

It will be quite a feat if I bring something to you that you've never encountered before from the scriptures this morning. But we are here because this is where God wants us to be today. And I think if you'll pay attention not to what I say, but if you will look at the scriptures themselves themselves, let the word of God speak to you than I know that the holy spirit will take his word and accomplish in your heart and life what you need for this very moment. I'm confident of that I prayed for that. I sought the Lord for that. So let's look at his word and let's seek the Lord together 2nd Corinthians chapter 9, you really could read the whole chapter. I'm going to begin adverse number six as we are looking at our missions emphasis this month. This is our final time that I get to have with you. I will have a missionary back tonight that will challenge us from the word of God. What is 2nd Corinthians chapter 9 look with me at verse number 6 Paul is writing to these Believers at court than he says, but this I say he which soweth sparingly shall reap also.

But he was so has failed to fully shall reap also bountifully now I could say Amen right there. We could go home and you've got it. You got it nailed down DePaul stop there. No, let's keep reading. Every man every person if I could every man according as he purposes in his heart, is anybody left out of that? If you're a Believer, are you left out of that at all? That's every believer. It's not just those that are involved in full-time Christian service and everyone who follows Jesus every person according as he what purposes in his heart. So let him give not grudgingly. Or of necessity for God loveth a cheerful Giver. You have a center column reference. You can look and see what the Greek word is behind that I don't have to explain that to you can read. It's hilarious when you find it at but I won't tell you what it is. God is able to make all grace abound toward you hate Christian believes that

Do you? You live like you believe it. Do you give like you believe it? That's where the rubber meets the road. He's able to make all grace abound towards you that ye always having old sufficiency in all things may abound to every good work as it is written. He has dispersed abroad. He has given to the poor his righteousness righteousness remain as for ever now. He did minister is seed to the store both Minister bread for your food and multiply your seed sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness. Being enriched and everything to Old bountifulness which causes through US Thanksgiving to God.

For the administration of this service? What service?

the administration of this service What service was Paul providing to the Corinthian Believers? What is it that he had Administration over the administration of this service? Not only the supply in the water or the lack of the Saints?

But is abundant also by many thanksgivings under God whiles by the experiment of this ministrations. They who the Saints they glorify God for your professor subjection unto the gospel of Christ. It hinges on that wonderful. Wonderful good news that Jesus Christ came and gave himself for us. And for your liberal distribution under them and unto all men and by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you? Let's read the last verse together. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. 2000 plus years ago when our Lord approached Jerusalem He did so prophetically. Christened them today and I use that term loosely is celebrating Palm Sunday. And next week, we will recognize together what some call Easter I prefer to describe it as Resurrection Sunday. Because he is not here. He is risen as he said. He gave his life for us as he approached Jerusalem that fateful day the last week of this Earthly Ministry. He did so fulfilling prophecy. No question about it. In fact, there were many in his day that realize that he was there for filling prophecy. In fact, they're the ones that we call Palm Sunday 4 because they were quoting that song weren't they blessed? Is he who cometh in the name of the Lord?

Magnificently Jesus had pulled his two disciples to go to this place in the town and they would find you know, this coat tied up and they went and sounded exactly like Jesus said and then when they went to take your like what what are you guys doing? You can't have that the master has need of him by all means. How does that work? Well, maybe he worked it out ahead of time, but I think God had his fingerprint on that.

And here they have no saddle. They have nothing to to to pave the red carpet for our savior. But these were convinced that he had come the one who had ministered in Galilee. He had come. to free them

to free them from what? to free them from the tyranny of the oppression of the Roman government in their political leaders and those that place them in such bondage and exercising taxes upon them in and oppressing them. They were convinced that Jesus was about to do something great. That he was going to go throw off the chains of the Yoke of the Roman Empire. And that he was going to raise Israel back up to the Providence that she is prophesied to have in Scripture. And Jesus comes in on this donkey. And they're saying hosanna in the highest paid get ready. It's about to happen. Wait for it. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord?

And then Jesus goes into Jerusalem. He's in the garden after the supper that he had the Passover meal that he enjoyed with his disciples. And he tells them of some things that are going to happen within the next 24 hours.

Goes into Jerusalem and he's arrested what what?

That's not how it's supposed to work. He supposed to throw off roam. What is he doing being brought before their tribunals and he's run through the mockery of a trial with the Sanhedrin and with the Jewish leadership and then they hand them over to Pilot. Then he goes to Herod in the back of pilot in this is big political circus. We don't know anything about political circuses today in America Dewey. We don't know anything about impeachments after impeachments after impeachments and this and that. Okay, I want. But here they had expectations. That were not met because now the one that they had hailed as blessed is he who comes in? The name of the Lord is in Chains and is being beaten and smitten for our transgressions. We know that's why he was wounded. But the cruelty that he experienced innocently mind you he was an innocent man. That was put to death wrongly old because the religious leaders were afraid for their own pocketbook. Can I just summarize it that way?

Here, they thought things were going to turn around finally and their economy was going to flourish again. And in all of these things that they were expecting to happen fell short and they watched as Jesus was crucified. In fact, the religious leaders led the mobs in the Crown's that day to shout with them crucify deliver unto us Barabbas the thief. They watched Our Savior died. He gave up his life as though he were us for us his robes for mine. I'm the one that should have been suffering that kind of reproach for what I've done to God and my salt life with my hands with my words and with my Deeds. I have wronged my Creator in so many ways, but I thank God that there came a day when his grace was made known to me. And I go unworthy as I am considered My Savior who gave himself for me. You see I saw something in Jesus that they must have clearly missed. I wasn't looking for political Deliverance when I came to Jesus. I wasn't looking for someone to make my pocketbook better when I came to Jesus. I wasn't looking for any other reason then someone to just love me. suggest love me. The way God says in his word. He loves me. And that's humbling to think that I don't deserve this and yet Jesus would do this for me. But as Israel on that day rejected their Messiah because they had this idea that he was going to do something that never materialized. Can I say it's because of their love for money? The love of money is the root of all evil and there. Pursuit of Mammon in that sense in going after worldly Empires and and expecting things to happen one way and then Jesus seen that there's a greater problem that needs to be addressed the problem. That doesn't just cover what's happening in Israel a problem that spans all of humanity a problem that each one of us deals with the root of sin in our lives. He knew what we needed he knew what they needed and they couldn't even recognize it themselves. He came to give his life a ransom for many. Why many and not all because not all will believe on him, but everyone who does can receive his grace and his forgiveness and can find Salvation through Messiah. Why do I start with the because when Messiah had appeared on the scene for Israel? They were living in bondage that mind you they had brought on themselves. They had created this bondage had they not. They were looking to Jesus to be their bailout. To bail them out of trouble for their sins and to bail them out from the hand of Rome and all those that would have pressed them to bail them out for their own failure. They knew what the Bible said that Israel's Temple would be glorious. They knew that they would be a king of Israel sitting on the throne of David ruling and reigning nations with a rod of iron, but they could not see in their own blindness what God knew that there was a prophetic Valley if you will a valley that Paul describes as a mystery. Mystery cold the church that part of God's programming plant would be through Israel rejecting Jesus. He would raise up those that would be Witnesses unto him to the ends of the Earth. And through their being broken off those that would come to salvation by faith through Jesus Christ would provoke them to jealousy as Paul prayed. He would that all Israel will be saved. Especially those of his own Kindred but through their rejection we get to be graphed in. And today as a gentile one who wasn't grown up. I didn't grow up. I wasn't raised in a Jewish Home. I I am a child of Abraham. The same Abraham that it was prophesied through him all nations of the earth will be blessed and I've been given exceeding great and precious promises. That the holy spirit of God now and dwells me never happened before I got saved I lived in empty shell of an existence. But since I've had the spirit I've had lie, and I've tasted of the Waters of eternal life and they are refreshing to the soul and I've tasted and see what the psalmist says if you taste and see your taste and see that the Lord is good. And I have not deserved all the blessings that he's given me in my life. Not one of them do I deserve but by his grace and his Mercy, he's been so good. Has he been good to you. Have you tasted of his goodness? Have you seen that the Lord is good. How many Christians today? I wonder would be guilty of seeing the prospect of all that Jesus could offer gladly receive him shouting in their hearts. Hosanna in the highest blessed. Is he that cometh in the name of the Lord only to turn around when things didn't work out like they thought they were going to Become a Judas. Turn their back on him who loves them and gave himself for it. Who wants to be there Good Shepherd the Good Shepherd giveth his life for the Sheep. Let's review. the ability to handle material matters namely that of your finances is directly related to the ability to handle spiritual matters. Does not is real bear that out as I've just described to you. Those that can say blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord? They knew that Jesus was the Messiah but those that shouted crucify. They thought that he was failing the program and plan of God that he was a liar that he was a blasphemer. They tried to put everything on him. But was he that know he was a Son of God. He had a 40 to forgive sins on her. He had authority over the temple head over 40 over everything over the Sabbath. He had a 40 over everything that was wholly and Israel and because he exercised and demonstrated his authority. They hated him for it. They hated him for it when they should have come to him. And because of their failure in these material things they failed to see the greatest spiritual thing that could have ever happened to them. The ability to handle material matter is directly related to the ability to handle spiritual matters money is one of life's greatest factors of motivation and control you don't believe that just take a look at Washington. Nuff said alright, I Don't Preach anymore there. To fail to look at God's word for guidance in this area. Would that not be the most foolish thing we could ever do. We need God's guidance and then by Wave review again God provides a way to Freedom way to freedom from contemporary Financial pressure and worry. He doesn't promise to rheingold down on us and give us money coming out of our ears and make us rich and wealthy and he doesn't promise to do that. But he does promise to keep us free from Financial worry. We don't have to live bird and we don't have to live shackle. We can live free trusting God provide each step of the way for us as his disciple. The same principles that allow individual Financial Freedom can and must be applied to the body as a whole to the church. If we are to experience true freedom and Power in proclaiming the gospel to a lost and Dying World follow along with me and consider very simply by way probably of reminder to the choir that I'm preaching to this morning the call of the Lord. There is a calling that God gives us as we step out my face and live for Jesus Christ each one of us have a calling of God on us. What is this calling that united? We have a unified call together as the body of Christ as the church to be multiplying disciples to be disciplemakers to be going out preaching the gospel and multiplying disciples. Are we in agreement there? Is that not a wonderful call? How can God use somebody like me? I don't know but I'm glad that he can figure it out when I can't if you'll make yourself available as our young people learned on Friday night from a tremendous message about surrendering about the call of God for their life about God's will for them. Just make yourself available. And God will use you. You may not have everything that you think you need. But God knows how to use you just present yourself. We have a call to disciple men and women for Jesus Christ to go and preach the gospel to Every Creature will let's go look at it. Matthew 28. I know, you know where this in your new testament. I just want you to read it. Say your eyes on it. Let the scriptures motivate you in a new like this is the first time you're reading them. in your entire life Matthew 28 verse number 16 you have the 11 that are with Jesus. They went away into Galilee. Into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. and when they saw him I love this.

Piper whatever's going on there. Just quietly Where You Are. What does it say they do when they saw him they worshipped him? How do you worship Jesus when they saw him they worshipped him but some doubted may be a reference to Thomas there perhaps I don't know if you want to call him doubting there and Jesus came and spake unto them. He came and he spake. That's how Jesus Works saying all power all ecstasy. All authority. All power is given unto me in heaven and in her. You know the snakes part probably like the back of your hand if you've been saved any length of time go ye therefore and teach All Nations baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost teaching them to observe keep guard do observe all the things whatsoever. I have commanded you and lo I am with you all the way even unto the end of the world Amen. What a promise. What is the call of God for the church today?

Don't look for anything new. Don't look for anything novel. We don't need to reinvent everything. It's all right here. Just keep doing what Jesus called us to do. Go and make disciples to clarify something here because I read it probably the wrong way for many many years until I dug a little deeper. When you read the words to go ye therefore I took that for a long time as a command and you're not wrong for doing that by the way. If you want to take that as a command by all means have at it just go and make disciples. That's all that matters to me. That's really the main point. But when you look it up the language is not imperative there. It's a has a flavor to it that just assumes you're going to be going why would Jesus command you to go? Well, if you're not going he's going to Mandy to go but Wait a minute if you're not going are you living at all? As you live you're going to go.

Right, if you're not going then you have no existence. You're not impacting anything anywhere. You have no Spear of influence. If you're not going to Jesus is saying go ye therefore you're going to be going you're going to be out in the highways and byways of life. This is where your life is going to take you go. Ye therefore be out there be in those highways and hedges be in life be involved be actively engaged in while you're doing it now we come to the command.

This is the imperative part going is going to happen whether you want to or not. So it's not necessarily the command that's not the imperative the imperative is to what? He said here. Go ye, therefore and first imperative teach every ethnicity every background every Walk of Life The Gospel transcends culture. It transcends everything conference live stage the gospel speaks to everyone of us and speaks to you because you're here. Take her the gospel. Teach All Nations now, we understand that teaching element to be that of Soul winning and helping them understand who Jesus is so they can be saved right then. He says baptizing them. So the second imperative is you're going to be going as you're going teach baptized and this is identification

you can be immersed in a lot of other stuff that has no relation to the Triune godhead.

Are you with me? You can be busy in a lot of things in life. That's not separated unto the work of God. Baptizing them in the name of the father of the son and of the Holy Ghost. We are believers in the Triune godhead here. This makes us different from every other religion in the world, by the way. Three in one I can't explain it. Don't ask me to explain it. I can't explain that one to you. I haven't figured that one out if I ever do then I might be in trouble. You might be in trouble.

The Father the Son and the Holy Ghost then the next imperative if you will is to teach them all things whatsoever. Jesus commanded. What are the commands of Jesus? If you don't know what they are you haven't spent enough time in the New Testament just read the New Testament. You will learn the commands of Jesus love one another as he loved us give yourself or others the Commandments of God or not. Grievous read 1st, John, there's plenty of help on what the commands of Jesus are throughout the New Testament, but you see we help people understand how to be saved and then have to identify with our Triune godhead in the work he's cold as to do and then help them grow and the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ so they can be discipled. We are to commit to faithful people those that will then commit the things that they've heard and learned to others. This is the call to disciple can I tell you just very as candidly as I can there are resources that are needed to do this. I have a wonderfully made Bible here. It's made by Cambridge. Maybe you have a good printed Bible. I know there's some in here that I've seen that you have some nice Bibles. How much did that cost you to get a nicely bound Bible? Okay just said you get the point. It takes resources to put Bibles and people's hands to put the scriptures where people can learn them. It takes time is not time money in our day and time. It takes time. It takes resources. It takes effort to carve out your calendar to make it a point to calendar sitting down with someone on purpose through the week to say even if it's not a group of people. I'm going to partner myself with one that the Lord would give me the journey with together to open the scriptures together through the week to pray together to help them understand the scriptures to multiply disciples through them to help them take the scriptures and internalized them not just a head knowledge but to live it in their life today. Go and multiply themselves in someone else. Your job is a Christian is to work yourself out of a job. So that others are taking the Baton of face and passing it on to the next Generation to those who would come up whether that's someone you're discipling in your own home. Maybe just knee high to a grasshopper. Maybe someone at your workplace. Maybe it's someone that the Lord would bring across your path that you've prayed about Lord. Should I approach them and ask them if they just like to sit down and study and read your word together? Hey, you can do that with just your Bible if you know your Bible and you have all 66 books memorized word for word. You don't need the printed one, but if you need to print in one. I know a great resource where you can find them. Your local church is a Clearinghouse for good Bibles.

Hey, we have a safe line Ministry. Praise the Lord, you know, it takes money to buy paper. It takes money to buy staples. It takes takes resources and then beyond the scriptures maybe you could benefit from a good and I want to emphasize the word pool to sit down with someone with the Bible. We have discipleship resources Pastor War. I know he has some in his office. I have some of my office if you need new steps for new Christian steps for new Christians or or some discipleship helps or just some basic lessons to get them grounded. You know them by now, don't you? You don't need to lay that Foundation again to be guilty of Hebrews 6. Do you say mon the church if we do? Take those Resources with your Bible and partner with somebody and help them. Learn the scriptures. We have a responsibility. It's a call to disciple men and women but there's no resources that are needed for discipleship. Can I tell you that as long as your local church is taken care of and provided for by your ties and offerings. As long as you give Faithfully your local church is going to have what she needs to put in your hands. You need to go reach others for Jesus plain and simple take care of the local church take care of your pastor and all of it just works. I'm not saying that because I'm a pastor because I'm saying that because Patrick Ward ice Road on it. Take care of our pastor. Amen. We love him good love Susie his wife the years of Labor. They've given here and he's a man that is worthy of honor and we lift him up. We pray for him. We need to support him take care of him because when somebody comes that needs a funeral conducted or has a wedding that needs to happen or however, the the things are handled through the church or needs Council or discipleship or or anything. We have a resource right here on hand and our pastor that he can sit down with him with the word of God and help them grow and he doesn't have to say oh, yeah. Let's start the clock. I charge this much per hour at the attorneys do that to us. Okay, we're ambassadors not internet attorneys. If your pastors taking care of he can just open his office door and say come on. In fact if you're going to be a blessing just be a blessing to the church. You just come on in let's talk about what's going on. Let's see where you're at. Let's meet your needs not powerful is that part of where the church is for to be family? Not just business. It's beautiful there resources that are needed. There is a heart purpose. We read the verse together every man is according as he purposes in his heart. So let him give not grudgingly or of necessity for God loveth a cheerful Giver 2nd Corinthians 9:7. So the offering is above the tithe is God prospers you you purpose in your heart you make it on purpose and say I'm going to provide for the local church so that we can have a vibrant lighthouse in our community. It's a beautiful thing when that happens. Communities Thrive with a good strong bible-believing bible-teaching Church in their midst not having to meet underground not being persecuted. Not not having their Liberties stripped from the driving and being a place where all can come and learn about Jesus Christ. The doors are open to all now as you come and experience him. Your life will change so you may not leave the same way you came but isn't that what Jesus specializes in you're looking at living proof of that right here. Our doors are open to all I think it's a good way to put it the way a shunt Smith put it. I heard him preach this in a in a conference. Once he says who's the candidate to be in our church. Have you heard him say that if you listen to The Sword of the Lord and read the circular you ever heard. Dr. Smith say that is this who's the candidate to be in our church who's allowed to come in those doors? I love how you put City sister. Are they breathing?

Amen. Amen. Now, when is this happened with if we're going to bring our ties if we're going to bring our offerings we know when it happens because 1st Corinthians 16:2 tells us when that happens. We lay by ourselves and store and when traditionally has the church done that when they have they assembled and gathered all of the when have they done their collecting now in our day and time we have the means and resources to do it 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You don't have to wait for the church doors to open. You don't have to get a stamp and lick it and put a check in the envelope and mail it in and wait days for it to get here. You can go online and you can just punch buttons and enter in your information. If you're comfortable giving that out in some of these platforms and instantaneously 24 hours a day 7 days a week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday, you can give you can do that, but When has the church? traditionally focused on taking up these collections first day of the week. So don't disassociated. I'm not saying don't give on our website or to give on, you know websites of these other Ministries, you might support by all means give whenever you can and however the Lord leads but adult disassociated from the resurrection truth of the first day of the week. It's day 8, by the way. 8th is the day of new beginnings 7 was the day of rest and it was the last day it was the day that the Jews set aside for rest to worship and contemplate God. That's what they were supposed to do the 8th day being the first day of the week is the day of new beginnings and that's Sunday for us. So we as Christians, we celebrate the resurrection of our Saviour every Sunday when we come to church and as God has prospered us through the week. We've been out in the byways in the hedges. We've been discipling. We've been helping others understand the word but we've also been working and in providing for our own families we come together on Sunday. We looked like book what God did and we put it all together. We say let's take these you and me together and we put it all together we say who can we help

Who can we help? Maybe somebody in Pampanga in the Philippines, maybe someone who their only language has a dialect of the Filipino language or Tagalog or someone in Africa. Who can we help maybe it's a chaplain Ministry. Maybe it's maybe it's a various Myriad of things that we can pool our resources together to do what's related to our call Sunday is the day for collections for the gospels Christians of always assembled on the first day of week of the week. They've set aside their ties and offering and it is through glad giving for the furtherance of the Gospel the Lord loveth a cheerful Giver right? It's not drugs work. It's not have to work. It's glad laboring. We're co-laborers together. We give hardly what we do. Hilariously don't think there's a better word don't think there's a better word. We give not grudgingly or of necessity but as we purpose in her heart. Have you ever gone to a restaurant somewhere or maybe pick something up and in line you had to wait in line to get unit seems like lions have gotten worse since covid lies were bad before they were gone somewhere. Maybe I mean, even if it was somewhere as simple as I don't know what it would you like to eat lunch, but Taco Bell or ain't know what he driving through the line and you pull up to the window you put your order in you pull up the window and the cashier behind the windows. Did you have this order? Yes, I did. Okay. Just pulling up to the next window women who didn't pay you. You ever done that? Maybe you were that person that said hey.

Play pull up to the one that what? There's a term for that you've heard. It's called paying it forward you ever heard anybody that payed it forward. It's fun to be the recipient. It's even funnier to be the one paying it forward. If you can do that. Sometimes it that's a blessing me tell you a story one time about r.l. Middleton. He shared a scintillating story concerning a wealthy industrialist to stop every morning at a certain shoe shine parlor. There was an Italian boy there that always Shine the shoes Tony he liked mr. Ward. No, no indication. They're just as his name. His name is Ward and the feeling was Mutual. So one morning Ward asks his young friend. If you can have one wish fulfilled, what would that wish be Tony? The boys stopped he looked as friend in the it replied will like to study medicine. Above everything else in the world. I'd like to be a doctor, but I have to care for my mother. Deeply moved the philanthropist reported Tony suppose. I told you I'd give you not lend you. Give you enough money to see you through the university and medical school. What would you say? Smilingly the boy answered. I would say you wouldn't do it. smart boy I will do it Tony.

You are shining your last pair of shoes. With that the boy lay down to shine Rag and kiss the shoes that were being bathed in tears. Their friendship continued on arduous years of schooling were completed time passed Tony got married. He enjoyed a lucrative practice and then one day of beautiful car stopped in front of Ward's office. And the young doctor hurried up the familiar stair the meeting of the men was very tender finally. Dr. Tony said this is a great day for me. Here's a check for all the money that you spent on my education with interest. War took the check he looked at it for a brief moment turned it over and he slowly endorsed it. He handed it back saying Tony. I never expect any returns from the Investments I make in human life. Anyhow, God has credited me with it on his books. It doesn't belong to me take it find another boy that is worthy. Send him through school on it and maybe someday he'll be the one to hand it back to you. Those are moving stories to hear about someone who pays it forward or someone who receives the benefit of another paying it forward Frank. Can I tell you the greatest Pay It Forward moment happened when Jesus Christ hung Between Heaven and Earth. And he paid it forward for us expecting nothing in return but he invites all who would come to him. He paid it forward for us. Can we as his people not go forth and take his word and say freely you've received freely give and share this word of life with those who needed. We have a call a call to disciple. It takes resources to disciple those resources are provided when God's people come together supporting God's work in his ministry together, but there's a faith trust principle that we exercise that we have to follow. What is it space trust principal silly trusting God for the amount that you should give to the gospel above and over your ties. We purpose in our heart as God has prospered us not not grudgingly not of necessity but we purpose in her heart. So we we know that I was going to happen. That's just where it starts we pray we seek the Lord above. I didn't say I'm going to give on purpose this amount towards getting the gospel out in this is where I can't answer the rest of it for you only you and the Lord you and your spouse in the Lord. If you're married can come together on this and determine and decide we're going to purpose we're going to do this on purpose together and we're going to trust that this is what God wants us to do and when you have Tranquility God will bring peace to your decision. And you heard Pastor we're giving us tration. I love that because that's exactly how it intends to work with my wife and I you know, I pray and then she prays that we come together. We say something in it. So it's the same thing the Lord brought us together on it. He does that if you're married and if you're single and you pray to the Lord and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding shall keep your heart and mind God will give you Tranquility. He's not going to leave you in the dark about what he wants you to do, but it might be a step of faith that you have to say Okay. I'm going to trust God that this is what he wants me to do and he's going to provide for And if I will do my part then he will do his part. It's above and beyond you purpose in your heart. It's a faith trust principal every man. According as he purposes in his heart. So let him give have you accepted the call. The call that every Christian has to be a disciple maker. Are you helping your local church get those resources in the hands of disciplemakers so that we can continue the gospel on secondly notice our commitment second Corinthians 8:1 through seven. I can hasten through this we spent a good amount of time together understanding what we've gone through so far. What is our commitment is to give ourselves first to the Lord, right? That's what they did to Believers in Macedonia 2nd Corinthians 8:1 through 7. One through seven more over brethren. We do you to Whit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia how that in a great trial of Affliction the abundance of their joy in their depravity of bounded under their Riches of their liberality. They just gave freely but they were in lack they were in want this is the model for sacrificial giving in the New Testament hands down you want to know what it means to get sacrificially they are the model for to their power I bear record pole says, yay beyond their power they were willing of themselves praying us with much and treat you that we would receive the gift and take Upon Us The Fellowship of the ministering to the Saints and this they did not as we hooked the first gave their own selves to the Lord and unto us by the one of the will of God for your life. There. It is the will of God and so much that we desire Titus that has he had begun so he would also finish in you the same Grace also there for As you're bound and everything around and everything abound in Pace in utterance. These are the gifts that the Corinthians had right you're bound to get all of these things your bounding and Faith your bounding in tongues and other answer your your abounding and knowledge your abounding in diligence your abounding in your love to us see that you're bound in this Grace. Also, there's a balance that happens. It comes through God's guidance verses 3 through 5 demonstrate how he guides his church into this place. He gives us his guidance. 4 to their power I bet record. Yay beyond their power you see this is going to be beyond anything that we could do by ourselves. Even beyond what we dream we could do together God's going to take it. I'm convinced of and he's going to multiply in ways that we can ever dream. That's the way he works. It strengthened by faith. You see about doing this your face will be strengthened because you're going to have to rely on God, but it brings us together. It unites us we have common goals and it just provides the strong unifying Factor. We have a call. We need to be committed. Will you join us? We have people that are committed so really the invitation is what are you waiting for? Come on, the water is fine. It's Rich grade. We shoveled out you shoveled the back of shovels bigger this plain and simple. We also have a commission. I began with this. We saw it in Matthew, but I want you to go look at the book of Acts. We have a call. We need to be committed together for the furtherance of the Gospel. Why because we're we have a commission upon us to do that acts chapter 9 look at verse 26 Acts chapter 9 and when Saul was come to Jerusalem hearsay to join himself to the disciples, but they were all the Fright of him and believe not that he was a disciple but Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way that he had spoken unto him how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. So what did Paul do after he got saved?

What did you start doing after you got saved where you maybe like The Woman by The Well of Samaria, what did she do after she got saved? She didn't become a preacher. In the sense you're thinking of preachers, but she went and she preached the gospel. She said come you got to see Jesus Come See Jesus Come See Jesus and they all gathered many believed because of that woman's testimony. What did Saul do after he got saved he followed the commission. We exercised disbursement of God's resources. They're God's resources. We have corporate discernment in the distribution of God's money. As we go it's to give the gospel that we can do much more banded together. Then we can buy ourselves Paul went and he banded himself or he attempted. He is Sayed to band himself together with the disciples and they were like, whoa. Whoa. Whoa, wait a minute. This is who

What would have happened? I wondered if Barnabas hadn't stepped up and said yeah. Yeah, we know about his past. But hey, have you heard him preach?

They banded together. What did Paul wind up going on to do for God? He became the Apostle to the Gentiles how many churches were planted by this man's Ministry? Could he have done that by himself?

Not a trick question. Could he have done that all alone as Saul of Tarsus? Could he have done that?

No way. He needed the Holy Spirit. He needed other believers. And in fact, the Holy Spirit himself is the one who said separate me only Saul. Didn't even named Saul first separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work. We're into I have called them know he could not have accomplished what he did by himself in his own strength without the holy spirit of God and without other believers uniting with him for the furtherance of the Gospel. That's how it works. And cuz going to do that here Pastor Ward God is going to reach the next generation for Jesus Christ, and I'm excited. We're going to have a local impact. We already are we are going to have a worldwide impact in this is this is a balanced Ministry with this to the ends of the Earth impact, but we have to have the strong Homefront first. We have biblical accountability freedom from accusation systems of checks and balances were above the board on everything. Everything is transparent. It's out in the open nothing done in secret. We all are in the decision together. That keeps accountability. And then we become a Channel of blessing. Individuals are provided with a proven time-tested scripture backed channel of blessing. You won't find a better place to invest your dollar for the kingdom of God than in in and through your local Bible believing church. This all comes from the storehouse treasury of our stored up Treasures. We store them up down here so that we can lay them up up there. We store them up not to hoard them or hide them. We stored them up to disperse them with discernment so that we can lay up Treasures in Heaven a bunch. Money's become translated into the means then of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

If we're to be serious about discipleship. And fulfilling our place as the church because Israel has been broken off for the time being they will be graphed in. They rejected Jesus when he came now, we have the responsibility to call we need to be committed to the commission that Jesus has gave given us as his church to go and get the gospel that Israel was supposed to carry the gospel of the good news is I've got to the ends of the Earth. That's our task as his church. If we're going to be serious about that, it's going to happen as we're serious about discipleship through biblical stewardship. We can disciple other as we're banded together for the work of the ministry. We must be stewards. The way God has shown us to be through his word. Jesus is Calling. Jesus is Calling. The question becomes have you accepted that call? And if you have then let's keep doing what we're doing. But if you haven't accepted that call won't you heed your savior today? You may not be able to teach a class in front of a bunch of people or or be involved in public speaking, but every one of us can at least take one person can't wait. There's not anybody here that has trouble talking to just one person. Do they maybe you do sometimes I have trouble talking. My wife will tell you that very quickly any of us can sit down with one person a friend someone who's close to us and we can open the word of God. Was it just start there just start there, but I'll need a Bible. I only tool hey you got pastors here with you. You got Brothers and Sisters in Christ. If we can't get it for you. I know that God will provide for you to have the tools. You need to be a disciple maker. Will you join us? Will you get involved with us to go and make disciples as Jesus commanded us to do because if we're going to see our church Thrive, that's the only way it's going to happen. That's how it's going to work we go and multiply two cycles. Would you pray with me as we enter our invitation? Lord Jesus we bow before you we thank you. That you gave us Direction you gave us your calling. You made it clear Lord as followers of you. We know our task. So many people are looking for new ways new things, but Lord. We just need to get back to your way. Make sure we don't depart and deviate from that. Doesn't mean that we've got it all figured out or we're doing it better than somebody else or we just want to be doing it. We want to be working your plan. Not just our plans Lord. We want to be disciplemakers. We want to take your word and make disciples. We want to teach them how to be safe. We want to help them identify with you in baptism in our local church here. We want to take them through the word of God and help them grow in your grace and knowledge. And I pray Lord on behalf of the congregation this morning and every Christian that's here. I pray and I come before you Lord in this holy invitation. That yes Lord. We heed your call. We renew our commitment together to go and make disciples. Maybe there's one that needs to step out and make a public decision of that the Lord you're moving on them and and you've been working on them. Maybe this is the time where they come and say I'm I'm going to give my life to live for Jesus. Would you bless in the invitation as your people in your church our church family commit together to be disciplemakers through biblical stewardship bless and move as only you can answer about eyes are closed list and to our feet if this Lord has spoken to you some way through this message. Would you acknowledge that? Maybe you want to pray down front? Maybe you want to pray right there at your chair. Maybe want to grab the hand of somebody next to you and say hey, let's do this together for the Lord. Maybe there's somebody that you've been praying about that. You just need the courage to go ask him. Hey, would you like to sit down and do Bible study with me this week? Let's have coffee. Let let us to get together and let's just pray and study the scriptures. We have people in our church that are already doing that. By the way, maybe you need to get involved in one of those groups. If you're late, maybe need to join our ladies Bible study that's happening. Maybe you need to get involved. If you're a man in our masters men and and be under discipleship. Maybe you just need to take somebody that close to you and your walk of life and open your Bible with him and say, hey, let's get serious about learning the Bible together. Let's pray together. Let's keep each other accountable. Would you step out by faith and trust the Lord provide during the Civil Tatian Why We Sing
