Synopsis
The death of Jesus Christ on the cross is central to the Christian faith. Through the cross and resurrection of Christ, God achieved the redemption of believers and brought hope to the world. We should be bringing Hope to a world. Many of us have did help in the pass year. We have lost loved ones; we have family zoom meetings. That Hope is Jesus Christ. Paul tells us that that with all that he knows that “…he would forget everything except Jesus Christ , the one who was crucified.”

The gospel as the “message of the cross”

1 Corinthians 2:2 NLT
For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.
Christians took the idea from the from Roman judge would sit. Architects did many things over time until churches resembled a Cross when looked at from above, the idea was to remined Christians they were to conform themselves to the cross of Christ and daily participate in his sufferings. I remember the crosses on top of the church at the front no matter the denomination, Catholic Church were just big. Today I have to work to say that a church, many do not have crosse on , on the grounds or on the building. We should not dance around or just talk about the resurrection with out the Cross. Paul tells us;
1 Corinthians 1:17–18 NLT
For Christ didn’t send me to baptize, but to preach the Good News—and not with clever speech, for fear that the cross of Christ would lose its power. The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.

The cross redeems from the curse of the law

The very first law was given to Adam in the garden. Gen 2:17 “…do not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,”
Galatians 3:13 NLT
But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”
Romans 6:14 NLT
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.
Romans 7:4 NLT
So, my dear brothers and sisters, this is the point: You died to the power of the law when you died with Christ. And now you are united with the one who was raised from the dead. As a result, we can produce a harvest of good deeds for God.
Is this good news that we have a life? Why are not tell other about this great news, that my death is just a transition from this to the Spiritual with Christ Jesus. Tell friends, family, and coworkers about a restaurant or just something good, why are we not telling others about Cross and that He rose.
God’s Love for you, me, us is still the greatest love story. He laid down his life for a friend. God the Father reconcile for use to bring us back to Him. I like this for justification The act by which God moves a willing person from the state of sin (injustice) to the state of grace (justice).

The cross brings reconciliation and justification

Romans 4:25 NLT
He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.
God’s Love is great that He gave is only Son to bring His enemies back to Himself, WOW He Let His Son die so you and I could set with Him on the right side of God Himself.
Col 1:20–22
Colossians 1:20–22 NLT
and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

The cross destroys the power of Satan

Satan power was death because this would give use a place in hell with him. If you want to make home with the Satan then continue live that life. Fight back by doing what John 14:6 says put your faith in Jesus. Satan was welling to fight with Michael the archangel, contending with the devil about the body of Moses. God win and you and I win if we call on Him
Colossians 2:13–15 NLT
You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.
Heb 2:14-15
Hebrews 2:14–15 NLT
Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.

The cross unites believers with Jesus Christ

Romans 6:4–7 NLT
For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.

The cross as a symbol of discipleship

Matthew 16:24 NLT
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.
Philippians 2:5–8 NLT
You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
The Pray: For thanks, for remembering the Cross, the Resurrection, the work we will that other may see this Freedom of Death.
