In Scripture, we see a strict warning not to edit, modify, alter, or change God's commandments:
"Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you." (Deuteronomy 4:2)
"So be careful to obey all the commands I give you. You must not add anything to them or subtract anything from them." (Deuteronomy 12:32)
"Do not add to his words, or he may rebuke you and expose you as a liar." (Proverbs 30:6)
As I post the tithing laws on this page, take note of the many ways that the tithing laws have been edited and modified by religious leaders.
Ask yourself whether the leaders you listen to teach the whole (unedited) truth about tithing, or if they add to and take away from the tithing laws to suit their own tradition.
