Untitled Sermon
9 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more
Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ,
Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others
But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Let those of us who are mature think this way
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.
we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.
which is at work in you believers
and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all
how you ought to walk and to please God, just as you are doing, that you do so more and more.
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, 5 not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;
But we urge you, brothers, to do this more and more
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.
because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing
