There was one person who was always early, whatever the occasion was. That person was Sharon. Sharon would be that one person who seemed to be ahead of everyone. In Christian Education (better known as Sunday school), she would be the first student present and there were times when she would have gone by the Pastor’s home to ask “we nah geh church today nuh” when the doors of the church was not yet opened. Most times she sat at the back of the church. Pastor would be the one to invite her into the discussions or strategically call on her for her involvement.
Though Sharon had not been an official member of the church, she was definitely a regular in attendance. Most Sundays, as long as she is in South Rivers, church is where she would be. Pastor Duncan describes her as a “kind soul” and I’m sure the membership agrees. She often responded to altar calls for prayer and was involved in our worship sessions. Many times she expressed desire to be baptized and last year she was among the converts to be baptized but unfortunately that did not take place. Based on her confessions and her desire to live for the Lord we have high hopes that she is with the Lord but only God knows. Sharon will be dearly missed in our services and we just want to take the time to express our deepest condolences to her family, friends and love ones. The New Life Prayer Family headed by Pastor Duncan along with his family, is praying for you and may God strengthen you during this time.
