Have you ever done something kind for someone? Tell me what you did? (Give your mom/dad a hug, help your parents clean or pick up, stand up for your little brother or sister)
Why did you do it?
In some way you probably did it because you have some type of love for that person. When your mom or dad gives you a hug you should know they do it because they love you and that hug or kiss makes them feel good when they do it.
John 13:34–35 LEB
34 “A new commandment I give to you: that you love one another—just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples—if you have love for one another.”
So here we see Jesus is telling people who love him to love one another. And by loving one another other people will know that we are followers of him.
Now…what is today? Easter. How might Easter be an example of love?

13 No one has greater love than this: that someone lay down his life for his friends.

So today we celebrate Easter which is the day Jesus was resurrected. He gave his life because He loved us. Jesus came and died for no other reason than he loved mankind and knew they had no way to save themselves.
John 3:16 KJV 1900
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
