The EVENT.
Read this one
John 20:1–23 NKJV
1 Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. 2 Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.” 3 Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. 4 So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. 5 And he, stooping down and looking in, saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, 7 and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. 8 Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. 9 For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. 10 Then the disciples went away again to their own homes. 11 But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.” 14 Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher). 17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ” 18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her. 19 Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. 21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”
The Implication of the EVENT.
The Resurrection Is Good News. FAITH .. The anchor for our soul hold .. The assurance for Living
Faith is sustance
Hebrews 11:1–2 NKJV
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
Our faith is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:1-11
1 Corinthians 15:1–11 NKJV
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. 7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. 8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. 9 For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 11 Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

Session Two

The Resurrection Happened Indeed! It all comes down to this. 1 Corinthians 15:12-20
1 Corinthians 15:12–20 NKJV
12 Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. 14 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. 15 Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. 16 For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. 17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! 18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. 20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
When the Greek philosophers were shaping a religion, many of them ditched the body after it died and envisioned immortality as spirits free of the millstone of their bodies. To the contrary, this discussion will show the importance of Christ's bodily resurrection.

Session Three

The Resurrection Is Just the Beginning.
We are the generation that lives in the reality .. We obtain the promise .
Hebrews 11:39–40 NKJV
39 And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, 40 God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.
Luke 1:67–79 NKJV
67 Now his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying: 68 “Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited and redeemed His people, 69 And has raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of His servant David, 70 As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, Who have been since the world began, 71 That we should be saved from our enemies And from the hand of all who hate us, 72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers And to remember His holy covenant, 73 The oath which He swore to our father Abraham: 74 To grant us that we, Being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear, 75 In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life. 76 “And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; For you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, 77 To give knowledge of salvation to His people By the remission of their sins, 78 Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; 79 To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace.”
Romans 1:2–3 NKJV
2 which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, 3 concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,
This is our lifeline 1 Corinthians 15:20-34
1 Corinthians 15:20–34 NKJV
20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. 29 Otherwise, what will they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead do not rise at all? Why then are they baptized for the dead? 30 And why do we stand in jeopardy every hour? 31 I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 32 If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me? If the dead do not rise, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!” 33 Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” 34 Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
On the other side of the door of Christ's resurrection is our own hope of resurrection, and much more. As we continue our study of 1 Corinthians 15, we will see more of what lies beyond the door of the Resurrection.

Session Four

The Resurrection Body Is Built for Heaven The seeds come up and bloom. 1 Corinthians 15:35-49
1 Corinthians 15:35–49 NKJV
35 But someone will say, “How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?” 36 Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. 37 And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain—perhaps wheat or some other grain. 38 But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body. 39 All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds. 40 There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.
Some people, imagining the afterlife, picture themselves with bodies, but aren't completely sure how that body they're imagining will get there. We can find out more in the Bible's most important chapter on the resurrection: 1 Corinthians 15.

Session Five

The Resurrection Brings Victory over Death/ Redemmed us from Death
Death
Romans 6:22–23 NKJV
22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Hebrews 2:9–18 NKJV
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. 10 For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11 For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren, 12 saying: “I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You.” 13 And again: “I will put My trust in Him.” And again: “Here am I and the children whom God has given Me.” 14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16 For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham. 17 Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.
Colossians 2:14–17 NKJV
14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. 16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.
1 Peter 2:24 NKJV
24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
Philippians 2:5–11 NKJV
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
it doesn't sting anymore. 1 Corinthians 15:50-57
1 Corinthians 15:50–57 NKJV
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” 55 “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Here is why the funeral of a believer ought to be completely different than any other funeral. Here is why Christians should live with a loose grip on life here, and need never tremble at the thought of death. Since Jesus Christ rose from the dead, we who believe in him are assured of two great promises.

Session Six

The Resurrection Allows Unwavering Faithfulness to Christ
There is life after victory. 1 Corinthians 15:58
1 Corinthians 15:58 NKJV
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
1 John 1:1–2 NKJV
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life—2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—
Romans 8:31–39 NKJV
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
At the conclusion of this study in 1 Corinthians 15, there is one verse of Scripture that tells us how believing the resurrection should affect the way we live now. This discussion will explore two effects our belief in the resurrection ought to have upon us as Christians.
REality .

Six Realities of the Resurrection

1 Peter 1:3–9 NKJV
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

1. Because of the resurrection, we can be born again (v. 3).

See how God chose to speak in the language of “birth.” A child cannot birth himself or herself; any mother knows that! Likewise, we do not earn our salvation. We do not do good works to make ourselves saved. Rather, God causes us to be born again! That’s why salvation comes according to God’s mercy through faith. When we humble ourselves, acknowledging that we cannot be the god of our own lives, repenting of our sin and placing our faith in Christ, God will respond to us according to his great mercy. He will take the power of the resurrection and cause us to be born again!

2. Because of the resurrection, we are protected by God (v. 5).

We who have been born again are “by God’s power being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”In beating Satan and sin and death with Christ’s resurrection, God proves that there’s no power – nothing at all – that can limit him. Therefore, this is a God who can protect us fully. If our God is for us, then nothing can stand against us. We are being guarded by God’s power through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

3. Because of the resurrection, we can survive suffering (vv. 6-7).

We see in verse six that Peter’s first readers were Christians who had been “grieved by various trials.” But something strange was happening with these suffering Christians: They hadn’t lost their joy and were surviving their suffering. What a great lesson for us! Because of the resurrection, we have a living hope no matter our circumstances and an eternal inheritance that no trial can take from us.Because of the resurrection, we can survive suffering.

4. Because of the resurrection, we love and believe (v. 8).

Our love for and belief in Christ – even though we do not see him – is real. Think about it: If Christ was still in the grave and never rose from the dead, our love and our faith would be a sham. Christianity would be a sham. Hope would be sham. There cannot be real love and belief in a dead savior, in a false god. But Jesus Christ rose from the dead! We can truly love him and believe in him because we are in a living, personal relationship with the Risen Lord.

5. Because of the resurrection, we rejoice with joy (v. 8).

Our Savior lives! And when we consider the living hope we have, the eternal inheritance that awaits us, the new life that he gives us, the protection he provides us, the suffering he brings us through, the honor that awaits us, and the real relationship we have with him, we can’t help but rejoice!

6. Because of the resurrection, we will obtain salvation (v. 9).

Friend, because of the resurrection, you will see God. You will arrive in the glories of heaven. If you’re a Christian, through the resurrection you possess a living hope and an eternal inheritance God is guarding and protecting you. You will, therefore, obtain the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your soul. This salvation is not a mirage. It’s not fiction. It’s not a psychological crutch. It’s real. And you can obtain it. Salvation is possible because Jesus rose again from the dead.
If you’re reading this today and you don’t know Christ as your Savior, if you would place your faith in him by confessing that he is Lord and the risen Christ, you will be saved. All the joys and blessings of 1 Peter that we’ve seen here today will be yours in Christ.
The resurrection changes everything!
Living the Reality
Romans 8:1–15 KJV 1900
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Spirit of God dwells in us

Intro: over the years I have heard people make a distinction between the Spirit of God that rested on Jesus, and the Spirit of God that rests on our lives. As if we have a weakened or watered down version of the original. But scripture never indicates we will be given anything less than God the Holy Spirit working in our lives. Jesus said, greater works shall ye do because I go to the Father—John 14:12
Allow GREATER WORK
John 14:12 NKJV
12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
A key statement in the Word is same or selfsame Spirit. Romans 8:11—if the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwell in you, He shall quicken your mortal bodies. I Corinthians 12:11-the selfsame Spirit.
The Same Spirit

Romans 8:11
1. Genesis 1:2—the Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters. This is an amazing thought, the Spirit of Creation, that moved on the face of the waters, is the same Spirit that dwells in the life of the believer. There is no other power than that which is given.
Creation Power .
2. 2 Peter 1:20, 2 Timothy 3:16-17—we have in these two verses the statement that the entire Word of God was given to man by inspiration of the Spirit of God.
2 Peter 1:20 NKJV
20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,
2 Timothy 3:16–17 NKJV
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Job 32:8 NKJV
8 But there is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding.
· We need the Spirit of God working in our lives to have full revelation from the Word of God.
· If the Spirit of God can inspire the entire Word of God, surely that same Spirit can give revelation into our lives, move upon us in the same way He did on the writers of scripture.
3. I Corinthians 4-5, I Corinthians 12:7-11—the demonstrations and manifestations of the Spirit that rested on Paul, Peter, Phillip and John, didn’t end with the Bible’s last verse. Acts 29 is to be written by the modern day church, and we are to demonstrate the power of God, not just give excellent speeches.
We profit in LIFE by the spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:7–11 NKJV
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
4. I Samuel 16:13---when David was anointed King of Israel, the Holy Spirit rested on his life. The Spirit of God was the seal of his authority as King. We are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise—Ephesians 1:13. We have no authority without God’s seal of the Spirit working in our lives. Paul said in Galatians 1—I certify you brethren the gospel I preach was not after man, but by Revelation of Jesus Christ. Your authority doesn’t hang on a wall, it is a seal of the Spirit.
1 Samuel 16:13 NKJV
13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.
Ephesians 1:13 NKJV
13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
5. Isaiah 59:19—we must realize the protective nature of the Holy Spirit in our lives against demonic forces that would kill, steal and destroy.
Isaiah 59:19 NKJV
19 So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.
It is the anointing that destroys the yoke---Isaiah 10:27
Isaiah 10:27 NKJV
27 It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
📷
Not breaks the yoke, but destroys the yoke. When someone is released from any oppression or possession, they are totally set free.
6. Romans 8:11-resurrection power—the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us. If this isn’t exciting, we have the power that is greater than the power of death within us, even though the outward man is perishing, the inward man is being renewed day by day.
7. Acts 15:28—it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us. The early church was so sensitive to the Holy Spirit, that the Spirit of God directed them in every decision. The Holy Spirit has been given into our lives to lead us, guides us—Romans 8:14—as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Acts 15:28 NKJV
28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things:
Romans 8:14 NKJV
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
8. Aids in True Worship---John 4:24Philippians 3:3—the flesh cannot worship God in full measure, true worship, true intercession comes from the Spirit of God within our lives.
John 4:24 NKJV
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Philippians 3:3 NKJV
3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,
9. I Corinthians 3:16—Spirit of God dwells in you—temples of the Holy Spirit. This is a concept that many just couldn’t conceive. Even today you hear people saying, let’s go over there, the Spirit is really moving in that place. Paul states, you don’t have to go to where the Spirit is moving, the Spirit should be moving in you.
Close: the same Spirit dwells in you. Paul was so over-whelmed with this thought, under the prompting of the Holy Spirit he wrote, we have this treasure in earthen vessels. Years ago we would sing that song, constantly abiding, today through the Holy Spirit in our lives there is a constant abiding of love, power and soundness in our minds.
1 Corinthians 3:16 NKJV
16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
