INTRODUCTION: Yell out: What did you want to be when you were a kid.
Anyone become what they actually wanted to? Mine was proffesional athlete/preacher. But slowly changed.
Many ask what is our purpose in life. Good question. Regardless of what stage of life we are in.

Your highest calling is to serve others. (Ephesians 3:7-8)

Ephesians 3:7 ESV
7 Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power.
this gospel - v6.
was made a minster - passive. God is the one who put him there.
I was 121 of 122 applications. I made the mistake of looking through applications. I was not the most qualified. - God will put you in the spot he wants you in.
Servant - deacon - that is what we are called to be.
Gift of God’s grace - By God’s grace, he was called to minister. To serve.
We often view it as a favor to God. But it is a gift to serve Him.
Ephesians 3:8 ESV
8 To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
least of all the saints - He just established himself as being given this huge job. He was the greatest of all saints. No the least.
Continual theme for Paul. He was humble. chief of sinners and least of saints.
unsearchable? riches - like a deep ocean.

God’s calling on your life is better than your wildest dream for your life.

This wasn’t what Paul had in mind in his life when God stopped him on Damascus.

When serving others you magnify God. (Ephesians 3:9-10)

Ephesians 3:10 ESV
10 so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
so that - purpose
through the church - the church is God’s plan.
rulers and authorities in heavenly places????

The more we serve, the more people see Jesus.

Ephesians 3:11–12 ESV
11 This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.
eternal purpose -
realized -
boldness and access - Hebrews 4:12. Only person who has the audacity to enter A king’s chamber to ask for a cup of water is a child of the King.

When you don’t know what to do, go to God. (Ephesians 3:11-12)

Ephesians 3:13 ESV
13 So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.
not to lose heart - He was concerned for them, even though he was the one who was suffering.
for your glory -
Some times it so easy to lose heart though. ...
Being bivocational - if not used before.
