Introduction- What is Doubt?

Doubt is a fundamental distrust, fear, or lack of confidence in personal belief

There is nothing wrong with asking hard questions about the character of God. Asking questions is the way that we grow in life whether in our physical lives…think about how many questions you asked in school. Or in our Spiritual lives, we can learn who God is without questioning who God is.

2. Be Honest about your Doubts.

You can only deal with your doubts about who Jesus is by being honest with yourself. Thomas was honest with himself and with his friends.

3. Listen to the Testimony of others.

Through out church history, starting with Thomas, there have been people that have voiced their doubts about who and what Jesus has done.
There are people in this congregation that have went through times of doubt. When you find that person, when they are telling how much God loved them, how much God cared and was faithful to them and relived.

4. Stay in Fellowship with other Believers

The worst thing that you can do is to break fellowship in a season of doubt.
A person can’t listen to the testimony of others when they are not in fellowship with one another.

5. Continue to Read Your Bible.

This is one of the reason why God inspired the human authors to write the books found in the Bible.
Reading your Bible does not decrease your faith....reading your Bible increases your faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God!

6. Take Your Doubts to God

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:13 ESV
You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Are you being honest about your Doubts?
