Life is more than what we experience in the here and now. Otherwise, we’d invest everything to preserving what we had. Many do. But how foolish it would be to find out this is just a tiny fraction of the real life.

Now this life matters. It plays a critical role into what happens in the next.

John (Not really a “well known” story):

All of his friends have just been killed and the Romans and everybody else were seeing the world was saying that this torture wasn’t working they needed to step up their game so why not throw them in a pot of oil that seems pretty bad

Bring it back to Jesus. If the resurrection wasn’t true, they would t have endured it. They endured it also because it was important. Even if it’s not true I may give into torture because it’s not worth it. It’s eternally worth it.

Lots of ppl die for lies... so we’re assuming the evidence that exists for it. More than anything else.
