God is present in our willingness to give ourselves away, to escape the driving power of survival which wraps itself in self-centeredness, for we judge all people, all actions and all things by the effect they have on our survival. The call of Jesus was to life-new life, abundant life. It was a call to enter the ultimate life of God.
