Our need and the reality of Adulterated love

We are born with the need to love and be loved by others. It’s part of who we are as God’s image bearers.
Soon we learn that others failed in fulfilled that necessity. either because they don’t give or don’t receive or worst they hurt us, giving us a new necessity of healing.
So we turn into a self-love which is self-centered, and seeks for our survival and protection. In this love nothing is more important than to limit the open wounds that others have made in us. So this love makes us defensive against others. And separates us from the true love that we needed it in first place. Self-centered love can never satisfied our original need to love and be loved.

Counterfeit of love

This leads people into a worldly love where we accept others as long as they are beneficial to us. If I can get something from others I will love them but the moment they don’t have nothing for me I will turn around and find someone else. And it works the other way around too. People of the world loves this way.
