What’s In A Name?

Proverbs 22:1

A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches; loving favour rather than silver and gold.

Introduction: We often fail to realize how important a name is in life until we grow up. A parent seek prayerfully the name of any unborn baby rather than seek to give him or her a name that nobody else has. Today, many parents just give children any old foreign looking name they even when the child grows he or she has a problem with the name. The children then ends up some nickname that has nothing to do with the real name. If research names in the Bible, I believe you will find that they all had meanings and more likely matched the child’s personality.
