Explanation – Jonah was guided by his emotions. He was giving a word from the Lord by he did not heed to those instructions. “Get up and Go” meant that God wanted him to go quickly (right now-like a parent to a child).
Illustrations – H-Town said that emotions make you cry some times but we see that emotions will also make you flee some times.
Applications – We can criticize Jonah but what about us? What emotions are standing in our way from doing what God has called for us to do? What are we doing to silence the voice of God?
