Intro

Thank you for coming to celebrate the life of Anne-Marie Smith. Today, I would like to focus on the reason why we can be assured, that, despite, mourning, we can see Anne again.
1 Cor 13:13

First Faith

Anne’s faith in Jesus has brought us together today to celebrate her life and her passing from this life to eternity
John 14:6; John 11:25; 1 Cor. 15:57; John 14:1-2
By faith in Jesus, we will join Anne someday. People’s words can be faulty, but Jesus’ words never fail. We can trust his word: if we believe and trust in Him alone, we can live with him and our loved ones again someday.

Second, Hope

Anne’s hope through her faith is now realized - she is resting in Christ’s loving arms right now!
Matt 11:28; John 8:12; 1 Peter 1:3-4;
Failure, hurt, sickness, pain. These are real issues. Netflix, Facebook, YouTube, none of these will bring hope. The Good News of Jesus - which Anne believed -is what gives hope.

Third, Love

Anne’s love for Jesus, and Jesus love for Anne, mean that Anne no longer resides here on earth, but in heaven.
Rev 21:4; 1 John 4:9-10; Romans 8:38-39;
Heaven is the place where tears, heartache, and pain pass away. Those who love Jesus can be there with him!
This love that we have came from God first. (John 3:16).

Conclusion

How can you receive the same faith, hope, and love?
Receiving Jesus as your only Saviour and Lord is how you too can receive the transforming Spirit that Anne had.
Any of us would be happy to talk to you. You can talk to myself, Pastor Debbie, or others here.
Anne may be gone from her physical body, but she believed that Jesus, as her only saviour, would save her and bring her after she died to live with Him. We can be assured of the same if we will believe.
