I. INTRODUCTION:

Saints of God, today will be the final message on the Holy Spirit series of messages within our series, "Reaching The World With The Word".

Today’s message is entitled, “The Benefits of Being Filled With The Holy Ghost “.

In general, people are more receptive to accepting or receiving something when they understand how it will benefit them. Basically, “What’s in it for me?”

Especially, if they learn it’s going to make them richer, smarter, more popular, more important, bigger, better, stronger, faster.

You can be all of that through natural relationships with people.

How much more do you think you can be with a “supernatural relationship” with the Holy Ghost?

The Benefits of Being Filled With The Holy Ghost:

The Holy Ghost Dispels Darkness

Genesis 1:1–3 AV

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Jesus was there from very the beginning.

John 1:1 AV

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 5:19 AV

2. The Holy Ghost Provides Comfort

7. The Gifts of The Spirit are administered through The Holy Ghost

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

10. The Holy Spirit Helps Us To Pray

Romans 8:26–27 AV

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
