2 Corinthians 5:16–21 CSB
16 From now on, then, we do not know anyone from a worldly perspective. Even if we have known Christ from a worldly perspective, yet now we no longer know him in this way. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come! 18 Everything is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. 19 That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and he has committed the message of reconciliation to us. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God.” 21 He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Reset: to set again or anew. Reset is to make it like new. When we reset our phones to factory reset it means we are setting the phone as if it is new. We are resetting the phone to its original intent. In Christ, you are I are reset. We are reset to God’s factory setting; to God’s original intent. Today, you are being reset.

1. In Christ, we have a new mind—reset

1 Corinthians 2:16 CSB
16 For who has known the Lord’s mind, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
We don’t look at things from a worldly perspective
We see with the mind of Christ
Christ does not see impossible
We need the “Idea” that all things are possible
That “Idea” needs to be our mindset
With God, all things are possible
Reset—God is still able to protect
Reset—God is still able to provide
Reset—God is still able to heal
Reset—God is still able to give peace
Reset

2. In Christ, our thinking is reset

You have to “think” about the idea before you believe it
Change your stinking thinking
Remove the loser thinking
You are made to be above only, to be a lender, to be blessed in the city, blessed coming in and blessed going out
Philippians 4:8 NIV84
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Stop thinking about the negative
Turn your TV off
Turn your Bible On—read it
Whatever is true—you are more than a conqueror, no weapon formed against you will prosper, you are blessed
Whatever is noble—you are above only, you are God’s priesthood
Whatever is right—you are made right through Christ—Jehovah-Tsidkenu, my righteousness
Whatever is pure—His Word is living, holy, and pure
Whatever is lovely—Love God will all your might, love your neighbor (others)
Whatever is admirable—Imitate me like I imitate Christ
Whatever is excellent—In everything make yourself and example of good works
Whatever is praiseworthy—Holy is the Lord and worthy to be praised
Think about THESE things
Not the stuff that will never happen
Not the stuff of the past
Not the stuff about untrue criticism—if its not true, don’t worry about it
Don’t think about your haters—move on
Reset

3. In Christ, our Attitude is reset

Tell your face you have the Joy of the Lord
Whatever happens conduct yourself worthy of the Gospel
No matter what unexpected disruptions, frustrations, or difficulties come our way—have a Christlike attitude

5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!
Don’t exalt yourself
Jesus did not consider equality with God
He did not have a holier than thou attitude
He associated with sinners and the lowly
He made himself of no reputation
He humbled himself
Your attitude needs a reset
Reset my attitude
When life hits you—reset my attitude
When I get a bad report—reset my attitude
When my children don’t listen—reset my attitude
When my cashflow won’t flow—reset my attitude
When my spouse gets sideways—reset my attitude
Reset

4. In Christ, relationships are reset

Reconciliation: to reestablish proper friendly interpersonal relationships after these have been disrupted or broken
Remove hostility
Restore to the original
Make things right with one another
What the enemy meant for evil God hit the reset button and made it good
Reset the broken heart
Reset broken dreams
Reset broken families
Reset your self-esteem
Reset friendships
Disruption is over—reset
Discouragement is over—reset
Family issues are over—reset
Financial issues are over—reset
Reset

5. In Christ, we are made alive

We are reset as sons and daughters of the Most High
The old is no more—reset
Yesterday can’t stop you—reset
Mistakes can’t stand in your way—reset
New beginning—reset
New family—reset
New outlook—reset
New plan—reset
New life—reset
I am a new creation—reset
In Christ, I am a champion—reset
In Christ, I overcome—reset
In Christ, I have a blank canvas—reset
