\\ *It’s All New!!!*

2 Corinthians 3:5-9 ESV
“Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit.
For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Now if the ministry of death, carved on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses’ face because of its glory, which is being brought to an end, will not the ministry of the Spirit have even more glory?
For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory.”
We love new things…puppies, houses, clothes, tissue~/napkins, plate at a buffet, etc.
We are ministers of a new covenant (people even today are stuck in a world of laws and rules)…exciting…fresh…view-changing…life-altering…but where is the glory in our face?

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
“Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
I just had someone tell me about their credit….bad
to good…where is your limit on God’s word?
Our text started off saying that our sufficiency was from God, not ourselves…it doesn’t matter what we think or say, if it goes against God’s word!!!

The glory comes through renewal…daily

Colossians 3:10 KJV
“And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge, after the image of him that created him.”
Not in the following of outward tradition or motions…

Galatians 6:15 KJV
“For is Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.”
Jesus told the woman at the well that the time would come when true worshippers would worship in spirit and in truth….it
come from within

Ephesians 4:24 KJV
“And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.’
We get so wrapped up in external, human understanding and desires, losing sight of reality….
John 14:2 KJV
“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you.”
Mansions mentioned here is from the Greek mone (mon-ay’), which means “a staying, or residence, which is the act of staying or the place; also abode, or mansion…

Here’s the broader picture of Jesus’ words here..
John 14:1-6 ESV

We celebrate Jesus’ arrival on earth here in the next few weeks, but he came to bring life; a new covenant; a new sense of peace and mercy; a brand new glory to be shared with the world.
