I. A Light Needs to Glow vs. 21-25

A. A light is meant to glow and illuminate the area it is in. As believers our light is to glow around us. This glow is from being with God!
Exodus 34:29–35 NASB95
It came about when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the testimony were in Moses’ hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him. So when Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him. Then Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the rulers in the congregation returned to him; and Moses spoke to them. Afterward all the sons of Israel came near, and he commanded them to do everything that the Lord had spoken to him on Mount Sinai. When Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face. But whenever Moses went in before the Lord to speak with Him, he would take off the veil until he came out; and whenever he came out and spoke to the sons of Israel what he had been commanded, the sons of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone. So Moses would replace the veil over his face until he went in to speak with Him.
B. Don’t hide who you are in Christ to fit in with the the world, but don’t be a tail-hole either. (Tony Hutson’s prayer ex)
C. Pay attention to what you let in. Just because it looks good, don’t mean it is good.
D. If you use what the Lord gives you, rightly, He will give you more. If you squander what you have, you’ll lose it. This was a saying from the parable of the talents.

II. A Harvest Needs to be Gathered vs. 26-29

A. God is working in ways we don’t understand. Much like farming. You might think something good happening with a plant, only for it’s growth to be stunted, or a plant to give you a bigger crop but it don’t look like much (Pawpaw’s tomato plants ex)
B. When the harvest comes, gather it. It is often done in ways that stump us. (Atheist, Football player, and cripple at Adrian Rogers church ex)
C. We need workers to gather in.
Matthew 9:36–37 ESV
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;

III. A Seed Needs to Grow vs. 30-34

A. Our faith starts small, but it needs to be cultivated.
B. As our faith grows, so will our influence. (Mustard seed ex).
