Romans 10

The theme here is justification

 Man says that it is by religion--10:1-5

 God says that it is by faith--10:6-13

o Its availability--vv. 6-8

o Its condition--vv. 9-13

Parties involved in justification

 The unbeliever

o Viewed as potential candidates for salvation

• Either a positive or negative response

 The messenger--“the keruk”

o Proclaim an objective message

o Do it publicly

o Proclaim widely

 God

o “Sent” (v. 15) implies a sender

What is the logic involved in justification?

 No one calls on another they have no confidence in

 No one will have confidence in one they know nothing of

 One does not gain this info if they are not told

 One cannot give accurate info if they don’t get it from the right source
