Paul is stating he is praying - bow his knees. We should prob get on our knees more often.
Dead or alive, jew or Gentile. They all are coming from the father.
Be strengthen by the Holy Spirit’s power.

16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
Paul wants you to have God’s power.
Like an iv - injected inside of you.

17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
What’s inside of you will determine your outside strength.

Dwell - he is setting up residence. Not couch surfing.
rooted - tree
Grounded - building - saying we are built on this foundation. It is what is coming up to us.

18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
One of Paul’s biggest prayers is that we would know Christ’ love for us.
For those who are his children - it is bigger and greater than we can imagine.
That is his prayer - you might ask, well what does that look like. Well keep coming back for Ephesians 4-6.
All those things are big ask. Impossible even. Good news!!
20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
