Theme:                  On Him and On Us

Goal:          That the hearers grow in their knowledge and understanding of the Holy Spirit’s work in them

Outline:
1.
When Peter preached that first Pentecost, he didn’t speak about how the disciples would evangelize the whole world, or do great things for God.
Instead, speaking as the Holy Spirit gave him utterance, the spear of God’s law was driven deep into the hearts of the people.
a.     We are among the guilty and the wicked who played a part in Jesus’ suffering.
b.
But God’s purpose is realized when He  raised Jesus from the grave and exalted Him.
c.     God has given His Spirit to Jesus who pours it out on us.
2.
Because this message of Jesus Christ is true, the heavenly Father now pours out on us blessing upon blessing.
a.
It comes to us with the promise that He will be with us forever.
b.
We live in keeping with the world and our sinful nature more than the Spirit of the Living God bringing eternal consequences Except for one thing.
c.
The Spirit continues to be poured out on us.
