The Truth About Lies
The first step toward a life of victory is to hear the truth about the lie that is holding you hostage.
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Truth sets you free… very clear! you will be Free! Free indeed! no more bondage… slavery… control , torture.
Where do lies come from?
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
The only time the bible says the devil creates something is here when it says the devil is the father… creator of lies
Lies come from the devil.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
The devil walks around trying to find a lie you will believe.
The imagery of this verse is powerful… the word used is “devour” translated it means drink up or swallow up… it means drain the life of.
Lies will have the effect of swallowing up and draining life out of us! They can be very harmful!
What does the devil target? He targets the things we value the most.our most. If he can make us believe that we aren’t that valuable or good he knows we will hide… just like Adam and Eve in the garden.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
The goal of the devil is to destroy you and your relationship with God and others. How does he do this? He tells you a lie… a lie about yourself, about God, about others...
It is critical then that we go to war against this enemy!
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
You and I have a mandate from God to tear down the strongholds and to cast down arguments of every thing that exalts itself above what God has said… We are to bring captive every thought… test it and try it! Do not allow your thoughts free range for they will lead you into trouble.
Are you looking for truth? Are you looking for solutions or are you dwelling on the problem?
Are you going to become a victim of your thoughts? Then don’t think like a victim would.
Do you Believe that by the Power of God you can change then you will!

Don’t lie to yourself. Are your thoughts negative? Pray and ask God to help you see what it is the thoughts that you have.
