8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord: But the prayer of the upright is his delight.
12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, The Lord hath made even both of them.
27 The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, Searching all the inward parts of the belly.
28 Mercy and truth preserve the king: And his throne is upholden by mercy.
29 The glory of young men is their strength: And the beauty of old men is the gray head.
1 The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: He turneth it whithersoever he will.
2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: But the Lord pondereth the hearts.
3 To do justice and judgment Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
4 An high look, and a proud heart, And the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
1 The preparations of the heart in man, And the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord.
2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; But the Lord weigheth the spirits.
3 Commit thy works unto the Lord, And thy thoughts shall be established.
9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer shall be abomination.
12 What man is he that desireth life, And loveth many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, And thy lips from speaking guile.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, And his ears are open unto their cry.
16 The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, And delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; And saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: But the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
