Find Your Serve FOR You – Rob: We serve to grow in holiness and experience the fullness of the Holy Sprit in our lives.
As a church we are only as mature as our least mature believe When You serve, it always leads to a WE
Week 3: January 16-17 - Rob
Find Your Serve FOR You
Ephesians 2:1-10
Finding our serve is a crucial step in living out the new life in Jesus. We serve because we are grateful for how we have been rescued and we serve because it reminds us God is making us to be like Jesus.
Ephesians 4.11-15
Rom 12.3-8
I Cor 12
The Goal is that YOU become part of WE
JESUS died for You because You are a mess
We are FOR You so Jesus can clean you up so that You can become a Part of We
You are a mess cleaned up by God
We are called to reach out to YOU and raise YOU up to be part of WE

Ephesians 2:1–10 (ESV) — 1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 6and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Thought: Have you ever noticed when YOU begin to serve it always becomes about WE?
Possible Illustration: “Here is the church. Here is the steeple. Open the doors and see all the people.”
Possible Song Reference: We are the Church
The church is not a building;
the church is not a steeple;
the church is not a resting place;
the church is a people.
I am the church! You are the church!
We are the church together!
All who follow Jesus,
all around the world!
Yes, we're the church together!
