Amazing that God gave his one and only Son so that you and I could have our relationship put right with God.

Amazing Jesus died for disciples who all deserted and fled - Judas - Jewish Council - Pilate - Barabbas - crowd - soldiers - Roman centurion - me - you - everyone.

It amazed everyone!

So amazing it baffled followers - disappointed crowds - enraged political/religious leaders.

Amazing our Saviour - as stricken/slain Messiah delivers us from sin/evil.

Amazing sacrificial servant - spills his blood to bear sins of humanity.

Amazing willing Lord - even as he goes to cross he remains in control of event - he willingly dies in our place.

Amazing humble King - from a poor Bethlehem stable - to humiliation on the cross - brings redemption of humanity.

What is your response to this love?

Reports in recent weeks easier to look into the sky at night and see the stars since pandemic.

Light pollution dramatically fallen.

Street lights, vehicle lights, buildings etc. can all obscure our view.

What might be obscuring your view of God’s love for you that you aren’t amazed by it?

Sin, guilt, shame, self-reliance, darkness, doubt, fear?

Jesus says come to me and I’ll remove those burdens, take away what obscures my love for you.

Take a moment this evening to gaze into the night sky and be amazed that God loves you! You could take a bite out of a Galaxy at the same time!
