Part 1: The Love of the Trinity:

That God loves us is perhaps the most obvious truth revealed in all of Scripture.
From classics such as
John 3:16 AV
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
all the way to
Romans 5:8 AV
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
In all these wonderful passages we are simply told about God’s love for us, yet as Christians we know somthing about God, another truth revealed in scripture.
That is, that God is a Triune Being - 1 God eternally existing as 3 distinct persons.
Now I did a sewrmon on this doctrine at the beggining opf the year and the video is on our facebook page if you want to hear it.
Today, although we are still on the topic of the trinity I was to expond on how all 3 persons of the trinity are invloved both in your salvatio and in the daily providing of all your spiritual needs.
So we know that God loves you, but how does each person in the trinity love you and how is that love demonstrated and manifested?

The Love of the Father in given us His Son

Salvation starts with God. Salvatiuoj is not the story of man searching for God, it is the story of God searching for man, to save him.
1 John 4:19 AV
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
And this whole plan and purpose of salvation began when the Father’s great love us for caused Him to Send the Son to die for us.
1 John 4:14 AV
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
The son did not come on his own accord. The son only came becasuse the father send him.
Jesus himself made this clear:
John 20:21 AV
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
The only reason we have Jesus, we have salvation, we have forgivness, is because the Father send His son, and the Son would not have come if trhe father had not sent Him.

The Love of the Son in Assuming my nature and shedding His blood for my sins.

Jesus coming here to save us, was just a temporoty change of address from the son of God - From Heaven to Earth.
In coming down, God for Jesus is God, had to undergo an unfathomible change in his very nature, His very essence.
God, who hold the universe in the palm of his hands, carves out mountans and valleys with the tip of his finger, speaks galaxies into life with jiust his word, had to set that all aside and manifest himself as nothing more than dust with the breath of life.
in other wordfs`; God had to become frail, weak human flesh.
And not royal flesh, but servant flesh, knowing that he would suffer and die in the most horrible method of execution devised in human istory - crusifixion.
Philippians 2:6–8 AV
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Why did he do this? Why would he leave his throne, leave his glory, leave his magesty to come to earth and be mistreated, rejected, abandoded, beaten, trourted and killed?
What was the Son thinging?
Ephesians 5:2 AV
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
The comong of Jesus Christ and his life an d death are the manifestation that the Son loves you.

The love of the Spirit to Enter your Life and Circumsise your heart.

The Holy Spirit in His love comes into our lives and does a miracle.
Colossians 2:11 AV
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
The Holy Spirit gives us a new heart, a new mind, a new life, a new set of prioroties.
2 Corinthians 5:17 AV
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
It is through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that we can have victory over the flesh and over its desires and live a holy life before God.
Galatians 5:17 AV
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Oh church if you knew the great love of God!
The love of the Father, the Love of the Son and the Love of the Holy Spirit.
Without their love we would be lost, cast off, heading for the lake of fire.
But because of His love we are saved, redeemed, forgievn and our names are written in the lambs book of life.
Ephesians 2:4–5 AV
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
The Fathers Love porodided mercy. The Son’s love provided thge sacrifice, and the Spirits love oprovided the quickening!
As amazing as this all is, Godf’s love for us does not end here.
For in addition to God’s love which saved us, we are also blessed with God’s grace which sustains us.
And here again, in his grace we see the blessed Trinity at work:

In The Fathers Fullness of Grace He has given us to Jesus to Keep us.

The Fathers love sent us His Son, now the fathers grace gives us to His Son.
John 17:24 AV
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
In given us to the Son, the father placed us into the loving hands of the Good Shepherd.
A shepherd who loves the sheep so much that he laid his life down for them.
Today, by the fathers grace you can be filled with joy anbd peace. Your father has not given you over to Satan to be rtourmented, to a slave driver to be worked to death in trying to fulfil the law, nor has he given over to nothing to be lost and alone. The father has given you to the best hands, nail perced hands to be loved, looked after and cared for.

In the Son’s Fulness of Grace He has Espoused us.

We are the bride of Christ.
Revelation 19:7 AV
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
When i think of this truth i always think of the prophet Hosea.
God told Him to take a woman names Gomer to be his wife, and to love her with all his heart, which he did. But Gomer was an aldulter and kept going into the arms of other men. She was as unfaithful to her husband as could be, and dipit this, Hosea still loved her.
I think of all the times and oppertunites i have been unfaithful to Jesus.
How i have tested his love in my pride, lust and sin. And yet dispite all the oppeetinites i have given him to leave me, his grace has covered my sins and he kept me, thougfh i dont deserve it.

In the Spirits fullness of grace he has been my Comforter

Jesus made a wonderful promise about the Holy Spirit.
John 14:26 AV
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Every comfort, peace and joy that we experince flows from the Father, through the Son, and into our lives by the Holy Spirit.
He teaches us to pray, convicts us when we sin, you are here this morning only by His leading.
Every time you read scripture, it is the Spirit who makes you understand.
Oh Church between the Love of God and the grace of God, you have no idea how blessed you are.
And to know that each person of the Triunity is so invested in our lives should give us such hope and peace!
