MATTHEW CHAPTERS 21-25

1. Chapter 21 – The Triumphal Entry

• Why did Jesus ride a donkey into Jerusalem? (21:1-5).

• What were the people shouting as Jesus rode the donkey? Why? (21:6-10)

• Why did Jesus drive out the money changer out of the temple? (21:12-17)

• Jesus cursed a fig tree because it did not have any fruit on it. Why do you think He cursed it, and what lesson did He teach His disciples through it? (21:18-22)

• How did Jesus silence the religious leaders who question His authority? (21:23-27).

2 Chapter 22 – The way Heaven sees things.

• What did the parable of the wedding feast represent? (22:1-14).

• The Sadducees did not believe in the resurrection so how did Jesus answer their question concerning the resurrection? (22:23-33).

3. Chapter 23 - The Pharisees hypocrisy exposed.

• Why did Jesus Lament over Jerusalem? (23:37-39).

4. Chapter 24 - The Beginning of the End

• Jesus said that because Lawlessness will increase in the last days people’s love will grow cold. How relevant is that statement for today’s generation? (24:1-14).

• Verses 15-28 are some most concerning warnings of the bible. Do you believe these verses are for the Church or for the Jews? What is the Great Tribulation He is speaking of? (24:15-28).

• What will happen when Jesus returns in His Glory? (24:29-31).

• What does the Parable of the Fig Tree mean, and does anyone know when Christ is coming? (24:32-41)

• What does the illustration of the sensible slave teach us? (24:42-51).

5. Chapter 25 – More Warnings of the End

• Who does the Bridegroom represent in the Parable le of the Ten Virgins? Who do the 5 foolish virgins represent? (25:1-13).

• What does the Parable of the Talents teach us? (25:14-30)

• What do verses 31-46 teach us about Jesus when He returns? (25:13-46).
