This morning we are in our third week in our series Valley and Peaks.
Sometimes our spiritual lives feel like a series of peaks and valleys. One moment, we feel like we are soaring high; the next, we experience a crushing low. We are looking at different people throughout the bible that have experienced this peaks and valleys.
Let do a quick review of who we have talk about before now.
Week one we talk about Elijah. We look at how he had a mountain top experience only to not trust God and run away for is life. Until he reach the end and what to stop and die. Through Elijah story we say that God is never far away. Through all the up and downs God is right there.
Last week week 2 we look at Paul and how he found contentment with God. Paul allowed God to be his strengthen to through all that he was dealing with. Contentment is not contingent on our circumstances but on God’s faithfulness and provision.
This week we are will be look at Moses and how he took his doubts to God. If you have your bible please turn to Exodus 2:11-15. We will also be reading Exodus 2:23-3:12. if you do no have your bible the verse will be on the screen in a few minutes.
Before we look at Moses if have a question for you. So think for a moment.

When you have doubts what do you do?

We all have doubts and sometime they are difficult to get past. Some doubts you might be have.
Am I a good parent.
Am I good at my job
Am I
I can’t do anything because of my past
IS God really God
Will done protect me
Has God forgotten about me.
God can’t use me

Moses had doubts too

before we can look at his doubts lets look at how Moses got to where is. Moses for those you do not know was a Hebrew man that was raised in the Palace of the Egypt Pharaoh. When Moses was a baby the Pharaoh order all baby boy to be killed to stop the Hebrews from multiplying. Moses mother did not what to do that so he was hidden along the Nile river were Pharaoh daughter found him and the raised him in the palace. This is were we pick up the store of Moses
Exodus 2:11–15 CSB
11 Years later, after Moses had grown up, he went out to his own people and observed their forced labor. He saw an Egyptian striking a Hebrew, one of his people. 12 Looking all around and seeing no one, he struck the Egyptian dead and hid him in the sand. 13 The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong, “Why are you attacking your neighbor?” 14 “Who made you a commander and judge over us?” the man replied. “Are you planning to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses became afraid and thought, “What I did is certainly known.” 15 When Pharaoh heard about this, he tried to kill Moses. But Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in the land of Midian, and sat down by a well.

Moses made a bad choice

Moses ran for his life because he killed an Egyptian. This was a defining movement for Moses. This was his valley. He had to flee for all that he knew. He left everything because of the bad choice.
We to are like this. When we make a bad choice we tend to run instead of facing what consequence. This is when the doubt start coming in. The doubt that say that I cant do anything else because I made this bad choice. That what Moses did. He told God that he cannot to something because of what he did. Lets look at those verse
Exodus 3:1–12 CSB
1 Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2 Then the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire within a bush. As Moses looked, he saw that the bush was on fire but was not consumed. 3 So Moses thought, “I must go over and look at this remarkable sight. Why isn’t the bush burning up?” 4 When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called out to him from the bush, “Moses, Moses!” “Here I am,” he answered. 5 “Do not come closer,” he said. “Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” 6 Then he continued, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God. 7 Then the Lord said, “I have observed the misery of my people in Egypt, and have heard them crying out because of their oppressors. I know about their sufferings, 8 and I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and to bring them from that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the territory of the Canaanites, Hethites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. 9 So because the Israelites’ cry for help has come to me, and I have also seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them, 10 therefore, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh so that you may lead my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.” 11 But Moses asked God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and that I should bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” 12 He answered, “I will certainly be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I am the one who sent you: when you bring the people out of Egypt, you will all worship God at this mountain.”

God calls Moses

Can you imagine see a burning bush that does not burn up. That would have to be a sight to see. God used this to get Moses attention so God could tell him what he wanted Moses to do. God knew that Moses could do what he was telling him to do. You see God always knew what is best for you and I. Most of the time God will not speak to you in a burning bush or a big flashy thing. Most of the time God speaks its a small little whisper in your ear.
When God does tell us something most of the time we try to ignore him. Or if you do hear him we tell him that we cant do what he is telling us to do. We tend to be like Moses said

I can’t do that

Have you every said that to God? Is God tell you this morning that you need to do a certain thing. Are you doubting that God will help you through it? Doubting can cause some problems. Doubt can get in the way of living your best life. Doubt can stop you in your tracks and leave you high and dry.
Moses doubt God. If you keep reading Moses told God that he can’t do it Three for four times Moses doubted that God was in control and that God would help him.
Has we come to a close this morning I would to leave you with one last thing.
How do we know we can trust God when with our doubts? How do we know God will take care of us? We can see the answer to these question in verse 12
Exodus 3:12 CSB
12 He answered, “I will certainly be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I am the one who sent you: when you bring the people out of Egypt, you will all worship God at this mountain.”

God is also there

God will never leave he is also there. All it take is for us to turn to him and ask for help. So when you have doubts bring before God. Trust him rather than yourself, and be honest about your desires in prayer. Allow God to be there rule of your life not your own desires.
Because of what Christ did no the cross. We can go to God at anytime with our doubts.
If you are not a Christ follower this morning do not let your doubts get in the way. Turn right now and start following.
For those that are Christ follower already. Take all our doubt to God this morning. Allow him to answer those doubts.
