Renew Your Mind

Last week we talked about the lies we believe in and how to replace the lies with the truth.
Today we are going to pursue the subject of renewing our minds daily.
Step one:
Replace the lies for the truth.
First of all we must understand that this is what the Bible says about renewing your mind.
Romans 12:2 NKJV
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Do not be conformed to this world!
Conform means: mold, shape, to mold or shape your thoughts and behaviour according to the world.
Do not be ok with sin, death and pain. Do not be ok that you have no peace, or life or strength! Do not conform.
Some of us need to fight conformity in our lives.
1... 2... 3... 4... I declare a thought war!
2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
If you feel power less you need to ask for the Holy Spirit to fill your mind body and soul.
Fear is a Liar!
Because His Spirit in us is more than strong enough and gives us the power we need to break off the old mold and allow God to reshape our thinking !
Allow the LOVE of God to speak to your heart and mind! No more lies!
Romans 8:37–39 NKJV
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God has through His Spirit given us a sound mind!
Sound Mind means:
A Mind that absorbs the teaching of prudence, advice, improvement
You see when you break the lie that has had a grip on you and you replace it with the truth you are being transformed at the same time. You no longer will see others and yourself the same!
John 8:32 NKJV
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
You are no longer being devoured but you are absorbing Truth!
The Truth in you will start to bear fruit!
The truth always bears fruit! It inspires growth and builds up!
Psalm 1:1–3 AMP
BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].
