This is one of those passages where I think we get to it and people go.
Why would you preach on that?
Well, because we preach chapter in chapter verse by verse through books of the Bible and this happens to be the next section.
So our title today is reputation matters reputation matters.
Once you begin by showing you a short video that is going to kind of set us up for where we're going today.
Maybe.
Darkness.
It's time to reach out and meet the need.
If we put that into practice, what kind of reputation would we have see all around us, there are needs
Do we care?
Are we so focused on ourselves and what we want that?
We're missing the needs of those around us.
I loved one line in there.
If Jesus is the hope of the world, then we are his hands and feet.
We are hits we share hope we reach out.
We meet needs.
That is what the church is supposed to do.
Let's pray.
Father, we are about to hear from your word.

Scripture is clear.
And as Believers it reveals to us that we represent you and it is our desire father to represent you.

You Reach people, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, use us Lord to meet the needs of people so that they might learn of their greatest need, which is Faith in Jesus Christ.
I ask that you would use me to communicate the truth of your word to your people.
Today, we pray these things in the precious name of your son, Jesus.
Amen.
Today we begin 1st Corinthians chapter 6, and this chapter deals with how the body of Christ behaves, how do we treat one another?

How would our reputations be rated by those who know us?

It is only as we focus on Christ and behave as see commands that we can be effective Witnesses for him.
Write about In this passage concern.
Number one, we need to be concerned with a reputation of the church, be concerned with a reputation of the church.
These slides for our titles, have this white flag on there and it's because we need to surrender to the Lord.

To become our primary concern, be concerned with the reputation of the church.
One of the things that impacts the reputation of the church is how we think about church.
What is the church?
So we're going to watch another short video talking about what is the church.
Lately.
It seems that we are getting more and more confused about what a church actually is.
So let's take some time to set the record straight.
Church is not a building.
They were building can be used by a church church, is not a denomination.
That was set of beliefs should be important to a church church, is not about Sunday.

Feet.
Go hands do this.
The church churches and what you're sitting through right now because you are the church now go and be the church.
It gives a different perspective, doesn't it to say, I go to church or I am the church and the reputation of the body of Christ is impacted by what we think the church is, and the church is in a dress.
Well, then, it doesn't depend as much on me, but because we are the church.
The reputation of the church is determined by us, our Behavior, affects the reputation of the church, and when we don't get along, Not only does the church stuff for the reputation of the church suffered.
No, I'm not just talking about the reputation of Grace Church of that is part of it.

How do we understand what the church is?
I can't even count.
The number of times that someone has told me, while I stopped going to church because so-and-so, Christian did, or said that's the balance.
Right?
What this tells us is this, our Behavior matters, our Behavior matters, we must be concerned about the reputation of the church and because we are concerned.
