INTRO

Last week we finished up chapter 2 of Galatians, and we said that the Gospel frees us from a lot of things
we said it frees us from sin, which is true, it gives us cultural freedom in the fact that we don’t have to become something else to be a Christian. We also learned that salvation is based upon performance just not your performance, but its based on the performance of Christ. We also learned that the Gospel frees us from being self-righteous. We saw Paul confront Peter about being a legalist and a nationalist.
The main thing we are seeing is that Gospel is a freeing thing, it is something that frees us from sin and death. But also frees us from from trying to live a certain way in order to hope we've lived our best life and that God is going to save us because of it.
No in fact that Gospel says you cant live your best life because there is no such thing as your best life. Jesus instead did that for you, he lived the best life and died the worse death being separated from the Father.
Now as we get into chapter 3 we are going to hammer this point back home again, and then expound on why we need the law and what is the laws purpose.

What is Faith?
