The Turn Up

Intro

-Well we have been really taking off with this place that God has declared “40 Days of Miracles”

-Share some of the testimonies.

-Talk about what we have discussed the last 2 weeks. as a recap

iThirst worship was what He was after at the cross, the 40 days of Fasting was not just a sign of what was presently to come, but also what was coming after His resurrection. Him walking the earth for 40 days which we have declared this is the time we will see 40 days of Miracles.

Then we dealt with Pursued to Pursue and how we have to find the proper operative to engage God in the moments that we need Him in order for us to get the result that we need. After you have been touched by God you must become what you believe according to Matt 9:29-31. It happened. They got what they needed from Jesus.

Now we will discuss a further action that we must do and that is Push God for the Performance. I call this the Turn Up. People look for a turn up to be a good time, for me it is more of a deliberate stance for God to perform and in order for Him to do that He needs me to TURN UP MY FAITH through ACTION not just words and mind power

Jesus’ mother was the very thing we need to see happen in the Bible, that one time that He was pushed to perform. There is so much to take in this moment at of all places, a WEDDING! Think about it, you’re having your wedding and Jesus and His disciples show up… talk about timing? “Like bruh can we have our moment?” I can hear Jesus saying,” NAH fam, thank me later.”

The Setting....

Here we have Jesus just sitting there minding his business and enjoying the festivities when his mother of all people wants to get Him to produce a miracle.

Things to observe:

Jesus is present and on site which means anything can happen simply because He is there.… OK everyone knows He was in the room along with His disciples ( somebody say A room full of POWER). This is just like the present day Pastor says we are in the window of “40 Days of Miracles,” and you just look around and start hollering in excitement, but aren’t asking yourself some very intricate questions like:

What do I do with this access?

How do I get God to respond to what I need? Remember the types of People:

Those that are seeking a touch (in Pursuit)

Those that need a touch (Being Pursued by God)

Those that need to TURN UP by pushing God to Move because He is so accessible.

What do I need from God right now? (No minor things like BIG TICKET ITEMS the little ticket items tend to get taken care of along with these things), this is just like in the days of Elijah and Elisha and Elisha asks Elijah for his mantle and He responds because you ask the difficult thing in 2 Kings 2:10

Just like Jesus’ mother people know who to turn to and how to get the response they need when they need it. His mother was so bold in her approach. Her sense of entitlement really racks my brain in this moment. It was like the mom on Friday and she hands Smoky 2 dollars and he looks back at her and says,” momma that ain’t enough....” and you know what she said in response to him? Make it enough!

There are times when you see others being blessed right now and you have His access, and you are finding the right ways to “touch” Him to get a response, and just when you think He is not responding you have to take it a step further and push beyond what you thought was enough and say God take what I am giving you in this moment, and make it enough because I am fully DEPENDENT in this moment for you to move on my behalf I see what you are doing in the lives of those around me, but this is not going to cut it.

Let’s Take it Step Further...

Jesus turns the water to wine

There are six water pots for that the Jewish use for purification, but here Jesus doesn’t see the instrumental pots for their customs, He turn the pots into pots of communion. The very thing that you once used as a sign to show you know the Way, God says now you can become a part of the way but how bad do you want it? Don’t just show me you know the Way (God), but show me how you can become a part of the Way (God) by showing me you really want this to happen.

Jesus literally looks at his mother and tells her modern day,” Lady MIND THE BUSINESS THAT PAYS YOU! Because I AM, and them running out of WINE is NOT MY BEEF so I AM NOT ABOUT TO MAKE IT MY MEAL!”

Jesus always had a way of using what the Jews kept as to be significant to prove to them it is bigger than their rituals and customs. He took these very pots that they would use for ceremonies of purification to use for the purposes of “you can have more than that if you seek relationship with the Father,” type of situation

What you use to follow a custom (6 pots to sanctification), God’s intent is that the custom may bring us(MAN) closer into relationship with me(The Father).

6 is the number of man, so what they were trying to use to purify man, Jesus turn it into a drink offering of not only celebration but had they knew what was happening it would’ve begun the process of them becoming more relational and brought into a place of balance. These were signs to me that Jesus still was trying to buy His Father’s acceptance of not having to die on the cross. We start doing some really amazing things when it is all on the line…lol

Which bring us to....

Don’t Pull Up

When you feel like God isn’t doing what you are desiring for Him to do, don’t pull up and tell your situation or circumstance,” WHATEVER HE TELLS YOU, DO IT!” SO IF IT IS YOUR FINANCES OUT OF WHACK AND HE SAYS,” LINE UP.” WHAT DO YOU THINK HAS TO HAPPEN? It has to line and and DO IT!....

The first act is always the most extreme. There is glory that comes with His touch and His response. The most interesting thing is the last part His followers just started to believe in Him at that point.....

Prove It!

Test me in this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams. For my part, I will defend you against marauders, protect your wheat fields and vegetable gardens against plunderers.
