In this, the third Jesus Memo, Jesus writes to the Church at Pergamum. Pergamum was a prominent city known for its innovation, invention, and arts. A great political center with a wealth of knowledge and resources, Pergamum was a thriving city that rivaled Athens in its grandeur. Pergamum had much going for it, and yet Jesus identifies the city as the place where Satan lives. It is here that the Church of Pergamum clung to faith in Jesus... while tolerating heresy.
