Get yourself ready

Go and say whatever I command you

Doxology                      “Majesty” (Rejoice 331)

Call to worship

Bible Verse

But I, by your great mercy, will come into your house; in reverence will I bow down toward your holy temple.
Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness. (Psalm 5:7-8)

The Lord’s Prayer
Blessing

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 1:2)

Hymn No 25:               “Great is your faithfulness”

Invocation

You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God? (Psalm 18:28-31)

Scripture Reading     Ephesians 4:7-16

Prayer of Adoration and Confession

Declaration of pardoning

If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared. (Psalm 130:3-4)

Hymn No 250:            “Before the throne of God above” (tune 61)

Prayer for others

Scripture Reading     Jeremiah 1:1-19

Sermon

Prayer

Formula (as for induction of elders)

n  I.          Do you believe the Word of God which is contained in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the only rule of faith and practice?

n  II          Do you own and accept the Westminster Confession of Faith, as amended by the General Assembly and read in the light of the Declaratory Statement contained in the Basis of Union adopted by this Church on the 24th day of July 1901, as an exhibition of the sense in which you understand the Holy Scriptures and as a confession of your faith; and do you engage firmly and constantly to adhere thereto, and to the utmost of your power to assert, maintain and defend the same?

n  III         Do you own and accept the purity of worship as practised in this church?

n  IV         Do you own the Presbyterian form of government to be founded on the Word of God and agreeable thereto; and do you promise that through the grace of God you will firmly and constantly adhere to, and to the utmost of your power, in your station, assert, maintain and defend the same?

n  VI         Do you engage through Divine Grace to discharge with diligence and faithfulness the various duties of your office, watching over the flock showing yourself a pattern of good works, and giving a conscientious attendance on the meetings of session, Presbytery, and Assembly, when duly called so to do?

n  VII        All these things you profess and promise through grace, as you shall be answerable at the Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ?

Prayer

Right hand of fellowship

Aaronic blessing (Hymn 352)

Hymn No419:             “Lord be my vision”

Benediction

The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)
