Sermon

8  Jesus Christ, the Passover Lamb

–         8 Christ, the criminal

–         8 Christ, the executed

–         8 Christ, the fulfilment

If a man guilty of a capital offense is put to death and his body is hung on a tree, you must not leave his body on the tree overnight. Be sure to bury him that same day, because anyone who is hung on a tree is under God’s curse. You must not desecrate the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance. (Deuteronomy 21:22-23)

•          8 My Kingdom is not of this world

–         8 No servants

–         8 The Servant-King

From heaven you came, helpless babe,
Entered our world, your glory veiled;
Not to be served but to serve,
And give Your life That we might live.

This is our God, the servant king,
He calls us now to follow Him, to bring our lives
As a daily offering of worship to the Servant King.

There in the garden of tears,
My heavy load He chose to bear;
His heart with sorrow was torn,
'Yet not My will But Yours,' He said.

Come see His hands And His feet,
The scars that speak of sacrifice;
Hands that flung stars Into space
To cruel nails Surrendered.

So let us learn How to serve,
And in our lives Enthrone Him;
Each other's needs to prefer,
For it is Christ We're serving.

–         8 The truth sets free

•          8 Christ the King

•          8 The Guiltless - convicted!

•          8 The Son of God

•          8 Rejected!

•          8 The crucified King!
