Introduction

8  Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day He visits us. (1 Peter 2:12)

8  Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every authority instituted among men (1 Peter 2:13)

8  New people

•          8 He Himself bore our sins on the tree

–         In His body

–         We are healed by his wounds

•          8 We died - by faith in Christ - with Christ

–         We are dead to sin - made holy

–         We live for righteousness

•          8 We were lost like sheep

–         We have returned

–         He is our Shepherd - He is leading us

–         He is our Overseer - we are under his command

8 Saved by Christ, live like Christ

•          He committed no sin

–         He spoke no deceit

•          8 He was insulted

–         He did not even the score

•          8 He suffered

–         He did not threat

•          8 He trusted God

–         He will judge justly

8 Submission in the workplace

•          Submission - even to harsh master

–         With respect

•          8 Keep God always in mind

–         Wear the consequence

–         8 Endure - “put up with it”

–         8 Grief - “sadness as result of injustice”

–         8 Suffer - “be in pain”

–         8 Unjustly - “not deserving”

8 Be holy - even in work relations

•          Do good

•          “though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God”

•          8 Follow the example of Christ
